  • always loved this album... these guy deserve some big success.

  • I met the drummer, Ron Albertson, on the street in Brooklyn and bought three small paintings from him. We talked about punk rock and he directed me here. This is a great song...it reminds me of the stuff that we would listen to back in college 1984. Remember that Rough Trade Compilation titled "Wanna Buy A Bridge"??? I freakin' love good art...it makes life worth living. It's necessary.

  • This song is perfect and the band is not far from it either. Miss you guys! Thanks for posting this video.

  • It's so weird to see this, yet so cool.

Jon is such a cool guy. He teaches my band, Johnny 5 and the Water Cannon, in Academy of Rock.

  • @misfitsboy123 Whatever Jon tells you to do rock-wise, Do that thing. Trust me.

  • @v1switch Oh, trust me, I do. Everything he's ever taught me or my friends about music has benefited/influenced us greatly. It's sad that Ron moved back to New York a second time. They had a good second run in Lincoln.

  • Good.

  • A Hairy Mary's favorite.

  • I remember them playing this song when they played Kearney Cunningham's Journal...they rocked!!

  • I too remember all the great shows in Duffy's..Jon jamming his guitar into the amp...Heidi abusing her bass guitar. Still have my vinyl 45's. Sure do miss those days.

  • Thank God this clip exists - makes me proud to be a Nebraskan - blows 311 out of the water. Live in Duffy's so many times - out of my mind - RARE trio of talent - I miss them.

  • Thank God this exists - my advice: Scour the net for any and everything this rare trio of talent produced.

  • Went to a laundry bar called sudsy malones and they were playing. they kicked ass and i went to music shop and had them order this cd. Damn good cd. I found it last year in the garage and jamed on it for about 2 weeks,

  • Mercy Rule toured the Midwest a lot when I was in college at University of Iowa. I saw them every time they came to town. They were my favorite 'local' band during that time. Heidi once told me I was Iowa City's biggest fan! I still have my signed CDs. Awesome band live - great people - wish them luck!

  • So many times at the Blue Note. Great band!

  • @godbiscuit, my thoughts exactly!

  • Nice!! Mercy Rule was a GREAT band. I miss them. Saw them at the Blue Note in Columbia, MO. a few times. Jon went berzerker. It ruled!

  • Reminds me of college, Duffy's on Wed nights, etc...the salad days

  • These guys were great. What a voice. Any other videos available?

  • This is so great! This is one of my favorite songs by one of favorite bands of all time, and I'd never seen this before. Mercy Rule=best Nebraska band ever!

  • Heidi and Jon have a new band called Domestica. They don't tour, but songs and a web presence are upcoming.

  • I just gotta say that I never listened to them even though they are from my hometown and were quite successful. I really enjoy this song and their others and wish I would have seen them back when they rocked Lincoln.

I am honored that I was able to share this video with two of the band members permissions.

  • Love em!

  • Thanx for putting this up. Always loved their lighting! I do suggest adding a few more tags to this vid. Cheers :)

  • that'll never be me!
