Perfect example of how the world should be. Not taking everything so seriously.
I love this.
I feel a disgrace that I have to tell I did not know his name before this video. Certainly saw Monthy Python etc. For me comedians are the smartest people in the world.
They take everything serious but they can handle it on a non serious way and laugh with everything. Yet still being responsible. I know it's not very clear what I mean, but I tried.
Fucking brilliant! We need some more fucking entertainment everywhere and anywhere, so also at funerals and cremations, to survive the shitty shit that the death of people we love brings us! Sorry for the nasty words! But I did not invent them! Neither did I invent life and death! Happy newyear to all! Never look at the dark side of life!
God I was expecting Graham Chapman to pop out of the casket and join in the fun. Can't believe he actually died. I thought he was still alive.. So sad :( But this made it better, more light-hearted, and of course being a comedian we shouldn't take his death seriously, but poke fun and enjoy the comedy he and the Monty Python troupe gave the audience.
Wow, I haven't cried this much in a long time!! It was so sad to see them all talk about Graham but it was also brilliant, they did a bang on job celebrating his life. I loved how no matter the sadness the Pythons can always add a good laugh and make it just right. RIP Graham, his brilliance, wit, and comic genius will always be adored.
I recently read a book of python interviews...they were all really torn up inside and it was very difficult to try and be so upbeat at the funeral of their great friend and colleague
I can only hope that I live the life where I can have someone say this kind of thing at my funeral. I can't imagine a more respectful way for them to give him one last salute.
@PersianWolverine <--- most lame person ever.. try to make something good of it instead of everybody crying. I'd rather be remembered for this than a lame normal funeral
@PersianWolverine They are actually commemorating a great person here. A bland and thirteen-in-a-dozen funeral with everyone wanting to go home asap would in no way have done him justice.
You can see peope are still sad, obviously, but I imagine this funeral helped to deal with the loss.
I know I'd prefer a service with a twist of my madness woven into the ceremony.
@PersianWolverine Why are you even watching this? You clearly have no clue who the Pythons are/were and what they are about. If you did know, you'd laugh. I'm sure auto finish accidentally put this up as you were typing J-o-n-a-s - B-r-o-t-h-e-r-s.
This is what Monty Python was all about. It would be disrespectful to do anything less funny. But people have to remember the most important thing about Graham. He's not dead, it's only a flesh wound.
They could just sing Amazing Grace and cry but no. This is what Monty Python was all about. It would be disrespectful to do anything less funny. But people have to remember the most important thing about Graham. He's not dead, it's only a flesh wound.
He's not dead yet, He feels happy he feels *umph* alright sir that'll be thirty quid

remember to follow this advice;
Always look on the Bright side of life and death, never grumble, give a whistle, because life is absurd and death is a joke. In that case, face your curtain with a bow and forget about your sins, because, just before you draw your terminal breath, you'll remember that life's a peace of shit and the last laugh is on you.
someone who looks and sounds like a teacher may have the most brilliantly inquisitive, generous, mind. But the 'anarchy' that Chapman displayed relied on order as its base. i hate this guy if he was in my funeral i would raise from the dead and kill him and return to my coffin

@jelloofhell You don't get the point, I'm sure that Graham wanted this as hell. John Cleese really respected Graham and that's not even his real funeral. They held a private funeral before without the Pythons so it would not become a media circus.

I had heard somewhere that Eric Idle said singing that song for Graham was the hardest thing he's ever had to do....He did it brillantly.
