Yeah. Front engined Porsches aren't the usual Porsche... front weight bias, in a place where the weight shifts onto the front wheels... that's why the best thing to do is to lift off the throttle, and steer carefully-if you feel the wheels sliding, just counter-steer quickly, and carefully. Braking will put ALL the weight on the front wheels-spin, and throttle will cause the sliding to get worse.

@Funeral4aFan the front engined porsches don't have a front weight bias. weight distribution is 50/50 in those cars. i've owned both a 944 and the turbo, the 951. i believe it's the same balance for the V-8 powered 928 as well.

@Funeral4aFan the 944 has 50/50 weight bias, if that's what you meant. As the gearbox is located in the rear, so the weight is pretty good. But it's nowhere near a "real" porsche where the engine is at the far back.

Great information otherwise, that's exactly how they behave when the rear wants to keep up with the front of the car.
