  • Not really but you can still see remnants of the track on the East coast between Conset Bay and Bath. There is an annual railway hike from Bridgetown to Belleplaine, which took place yesterday (12-02-19).

  • Interesting video, is there anything left of the old railway ?

  • I had heard so much about this railroad from my parents as a child, and the picnics they attended on it, but I cannnot ever remember seeing photographs. This video is great! My teenagers also enjoyed it, and they can show it to their friends.

  • Not to my knowledge.

  • Does a movie exist of the train?

  • Very nice video, I have Jim's book so enjoyed this very much, thank you. Did you know that just prior to the Barbados Government purchasing the railway in 1916 (from private ownership), it was arranged for the General Manager and Chief Engineer of the Trinidad Government Railway, Mr. H.R. Marwood (M.I.C.E.), to visit Barbados and report on the state of the railway?

Mr. Marwood arrived on 23rd of September and his report was submitted to the Government of Barbados on November 10th 1916.

  • @galbeadon Thanks for the comments and info.
