What a great story teller, and fiddler to top it off. I really appreciate that he doesn't play it in the conventional ways, but still gets a good sound. It inspires me to let go of my Classical grip, and embrace some different fiddling methods.
Benton Flippen was my neighbor for a few years, until December '09! I helped him once when he was locked out of his house :) He is an incredible musician

I've got a real soft spot for people who play with a unique style or technique. Just tends to be more interesting. Ben Flippen's no exception. Fantastic.
