well good luck with your profession reviewer skills that got you 10,000 views in your life time, my youtube has been up for a year and i have covered every app used in the new gorillaz album the fall, and that is my old old youtube shit, i WIN
@iPadorchestra91 Posting bragging claims here does not make it true! ;-) From what I saw, you don't "review" apps at all, you "demonstrate" them with no discussion at all. You also need to hold the camera / iPad steady, get better sound, editing, and of course - practice!
@stankwho "get them while the getting is good!" ;-) many apps have an "introductory price" deal. (of course, others will end up lowering over time? make a good guess!)
@Lilou1985 you are correct. (Google that name for more info. ) They used a REAL Donkamatic when recording the album, but we have here some samples from it. It's like the great, great grandfather of today's Electribes!
I didn't mean for my first sentence to sound rude. Perhaps I should have left out the word 'even'. I was just trying to help out users expand the experience. Wasn't trying to be a dick ;)
@freesoulvw this comment sounds better ;-) Yes, I do get into the Gorillaz Wave button more in Part B and C. It's an interesting way to handle the samples, different than any Electribe before - it has advantages: easily categorized samples, can switch samples mid pattern (!!!) but also disadvantages - you can only have one kick drum track per pattern, etc. Korg is full of surprises lately - first the MonoTribe and now this. Who knows what else they may have in planning?
Did you even try the wave button under the pitch knob. It has 16 samples per part that you can assign basically like the sampler you are hoping for. If you find the best non gorrillaz sounds you can actually come up with some very interesting sounds. Plus while you have the gorrillaz wave button enabled where you can select those 16 different sounds you can record the automation of those selections as well as the regular knob automation. So say you are looking at the kick, push that wave button
Hey VJFranz, thanks for the demo. Would you recommend this over the standard ielectribe? I hadn't heard of these until I visited the App store today..
@Blarneystone100 it depends what you want to do. The other one is a Drum Synth, so better for electro, idm etc. This one is a sampler with a fixed bank inlcuded (aka Rompler) of Gorillaz sounds.
who knows? I hope for a user loadable sampler soon. ;-) subscribe and stay tuned!
@freudianmachine actually it doesn't do the "drum synth" things that the red one does - this one is a SAMPLER, loaded with Gorillaz beatz from their recent album "The Fall". But I figure - if they've written the code for a sampling drum machine (as in the hardware Electribe ES-1 and ESX) then it can't be long before they release an iElectribe sampler that we can load with our own beats, you know?

Wait, but can the gorillaz ielectribe do all of the same things that the standard ielectribe does?
