The Dalai Lama was allowed to rule Tibet by the Chinese Emperor in the 14th Century, but never gave up sovereignty. If you look at maps prior to 1945 it shows the area known as Tibet as part of China. In the recent Tibet uprising earlier this year, Tibetans broke into shops and beat Han Chinese in Lhasa for no reason other than they weren't Tibetan. In one instance five women were burned to death, alive, in their apartment above their shop. The Dalai Lama's envoy defended their actions.

Under the Dalai Lama, he bought everything at "his" price, not the market price. And, how hypocritical is it when a man of "peace" allows others to commit violence in his name? I've seen "peaceful" Tibetians try to provoke a violant clash with a peaceful Chinese protest over the Dalai Lama's visit in Seattle last year until I intervened with my "white" presence.

Tibetan people have the legitimate right of racial self-determination as well as the independence of Kosovo was acknowledged by the international community. The population of Kosovo is 2 million (90% is Albanian). The population of Tibetans is more than 5.4 million only in China. Tibetan people have the right to declear the independence from China.
