I loved this song 25 yrs ago when I was a member of the Revolutionary Communist Party and marching in the H-block marches in London.... I still listen to this song whilst being beaten on by the Merseyside Pigs for my much unappreciated liberal tendencies. Its about a country betraying a soldier who Stalin thought was westernized by the Americans in WW2 when they met each other on the elb river. Sending him to the gulags for many years when he thought he was going home, fighting for his country ans he gets this treatment. Its a hard thing. You mean the Soviets....Stalin was a Georgian not a Russian. Most of the bolshevics with political power were Jewish not Slavic. The fact is that millions of 'white' Russians were slaughtered on the orders of Jewish Bolshevics. Not something which is mentioned in the west. Soviet Union had specific laws to protect Jews too.
