The album will be released in May 2012, and touring will begin in 2012! ...Some pretty sweet stuff! ...Something new... for you!

  • I agree with the loose-skinned scrotum about life, but I also don't think you can really know anything about or judge anyone from a couple of internet messages. And I don't think anyone who judges someone that way actually appreciates the person they are talking to. And why is it always acid "casualty"? At least he's not insisting that a transaction involving a banana will mathematically start a chain reaction and destroy the universe. I heard that one from a REAL acid casualty.

  • @balognaofwin i would much rather hear about a banana triggered apocalypse than all that gushing doolally gibberish your man was spouting

  • MMMMIIIIKKKKKEEEEYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Anybody else as sick as I am of reading bloated pontifications on YouTube about the nature/meaning life as reflected in a simple song?

  • @roomie4rent better than most of the other shitty, why doen't people listen to this instead of... and hate mail. So i would honestly rather read a "bloated" meaningful comment.

  • @roomie4rent

bloated pontifications . . . Sir, I am stealing that phrase and incorporating into my everyday lexicon.

And god bless you for using proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation--and an above fourth grade vocabulary.

  • @roomie4rent ...not so simple song?

  • @roomie4rent Hell yes! That crap makes me cringe so hard. Most of it doesn't even make sense.

  • @roomie4rent sometimes that's what an artist tries to portray...there's no way you can say that smells like content isn't about the meaning of life!

  • @roomie4rent Yes!

  • on acid your video is really cool

  • The books dominate.

  • I saw this live. What a lovely band!

  • this was so inspirational live ...truly amazing.

  • excellent

  • I wish my home movies looks this good..

  • @flabbyfumbleballsnutsack64

  • I really love this video

  • 4:16

  • go frickin buy the new album. "The Way Out" is a doozy and is meant to be heard by you.

  • i actually feel that this is beautiful.

  • I wonder if you were to draw up a Venn diagram where the left hand side said 'people who write overly emotional comments about songs on youtube' and the right hand side said 'people who are drunk' how many people would fall in the middle... Anyway, great tune!

  • 1:27

  • this is one of the most beautiful things i have ever experienced in my life.

  • you can purchase this track at liga music

  • this video accurately depicts all that is great about being alive. when everythings going well, and theres a breeze, this song should always play.

  • Hands down one of the best ways to spend four minutes and thirty-four seconds.

  • The Books == Everything that I thought everything unfolding before the colapse

  • 1:27 HAHAHA wtf child...

  • this sounds like the background music they play in sims

  • so good. One Imogen Heap's producers told me about these guys when I somehow got talking to him once. What a brilliant musical recommendation!!

  • this is so penguin cafe orchestra inspired..

  • @BLITCHYBLITCHY

Totally agree, and to their credit, i don't think they are triyng to hide it either.

I admit that is the first thing that came to my mind, the Penguin Cafe Orchestra's song "Perpetuum Mobile".

  • this video's made entirely from the books' family archives, in case you didn't know. the guy playing bass is nick zammuto's brother mikey.

  • where can i find an mp3 of this?

  • Does anyone know where this song came from? It's not any of their studio albums.

  • @MrBrassmonkey93

I believe it's off of one of their DVDs

  • @MrBrassmonkey93 it's off the "The Books - Playall" DVD it comes with this footage and more and there is also a CD that comes with it. or you COULD look for it, via rapidshare or whatnot.

  • I like it. 8D

  • haha penguin smack 4:14

  • I'm seeing these guys in St. Louis in a couple of days. I am so ready.

  • im having flashbacks!

    im digging this

  • I agree with flabbyballsack.

  • i love music that has the ability to encompass the meaning of life and explain our true meaning with the inexplicable feeling it gives us. It gives me rational to the inexplicable. I don't think life is about what we do, i think it is about how we feel. Don't get caught up in the game. Live, people. Make time for yourselves and get that chill up your spine. It's the most important part of being human.

  • @flabbyballsack well said. =)

  • @flabbyballsack what a pretty thing to say. then i saw your name and laughed, suprised

  • @flabbyballsack Shut up. Stop telling people what to do.

  • @flabbyballsack go die.

  • @leeho98 Learn to troll.

  • @flabbyballsack god i hate you.

  • @fumblenuts64 haha, i really don't blame you.

  • @flabbyballsack

    amen

  • @flabbyballsack What a wonderful thing to say, which begs the question: If you, sir, are responsible for my present ineffible, then maybe living for these inexplicables brings out the inexpressible in others affecting all in proximity in a sort of chain reaction eventually leading to who knows... the next step in evolution even?

  • @flabbyballsack I really like what you said here. And when I read your username it made it doubly awesome. Sunkist came out my nose.

  • @flabbyballsack

and thank you, flabbyballsack, for a beautiful synopsis

  • @flabbyballsack well said, love. you made me feel i was about to shed a tear. those were really sweet true words.

  • @flabbyballsack dude i love you response and also the fact that ur username is flabbyballsack. hahahahhaha

  • @youwereflabbergasted haha cheers!

  • @flabbyballsack capre diem

  • @flabbyballsack I love that your username is flabbyballsack

  • @flabbyballsack You're my new favorite person ever. Just so you know.

  • @BethanyBetty haha, cheers!

  • @flabbyballsack Btw, nice name. Hahahah.

  • @BethanyBetty Samesies!

  • @flabbyballsack bleaurgh! what are you even talking about? you sound like an acid casualty

  • @rofubatf You sound indigent and ignorant. Get a grip on life, friend. I suppose this should be obvious, but being admittedly out of touch makes you look like a douche. I bet you're a hipster. That or a republican. Either way, I appreciate you. You let me know that there are still docile bodies out there, who are soo engulfed in the game that they forget what it is to live. What it is like to tuely be in touch with your conscious or just simply LOVE music. In that sense... i feel bad for you.

  • @flabbyballsack your assumptions are incorrect. i'm not a hipster or a republican. i'm just cynical. so get off your high horse. just cus u love everything and everyone don't make u superior. it just makes you soft in the head. you appreciate me? appreciate this: the way you talk is grating and it makes me want to puke

  • @rofubatf Bah, a real cynic types with correct capitalization, punctuation, grammar and spelling.

  • @Blacklemon67 r u serious? ain't no correlation between grammar and cynicism. anyone can be cynical, all u need is a brain!

  • @flabbyballsack

    >Someone says something you don't like

    >"You're probably a hipster or a republican"

As far as douche factor goes, a statement like that scores pretty high Sir Ballsack.

  • @bigmac364 It's called being a troll, fuck yourself. hipster.

  • @flabbyballsack you mad?

  • @flabbyballsack pretentious asshole

  • @flabbyballsack

you're a flabby ballsack of shit

  • @flabbyballsack Deep, meditative thought on the human condition from... 'flabbyballsack'. Love it.

  • @flabbyballsack what makes you think you are so right about something as profound as life itself? either you're God himself, or just a liberal.

  • The carpeting about thirty seconds in looks incredibly comfortable.

  • What album is this from?

  • love the video.super cute :)

  • I'm assuming you made this?

    This video SUCK! (I'm joking:P)

    It's just the opposite actually

In my honest opinion, it's pretty sick and very creative.

I love, LOVE, LOVVVVEEEE it and wiish they'd adopt your thing as an official video.

    :)

  • The Books are video artists as well as musicians, and this is an official video. If you were to see them live they might have this playing behind them.

  • Oh, okay. It seemed to have that kind of element to it that made me think it was a user made video, I'm not really a huge fan so I didn't know, sorry.

    It's an awesome video though.

  • ...this is the official video

  • A book trailer is called Plato the platypus plumber

  • 恥ずかしながら、the books を初めてしっかり聴いた。音源を手に入れなければ!

  • I vote this VH1/MTV video of the year!

  • wow... wow...wow....

  • your simply the best!

  • U2!

  • where can i find an mp3 of this??? ive searched everywhere!

  • buy it on itunes

  • oh, it's not even there-- I just checked. bummer.

  • download it, off youtube

  • i know these guys just how i know the last beachboy, nelson aaand umm maybe some others... not as cool as it seems

  • the lemon of pink is a great cd

  • wow. never heard this band before, but jesus, how lovely and amazing. did the band make/compile the video footage?

  • yes they took pieces of what they liked from video tapes they found

  • its good to see such authentic human behavior in a music video

documentary photography at its finest, of course the editing makes it all come together, which is as important as the music in this context

  • Is there inauthentic human behavior?

  • Of course there is.

  • Speaking of evocative sonic collages - check the fundamental transience of TIME in my VTRVS

  • I must say it made me cry... some experiences - and some important people - never come back to our lives...

  • then why not cherish them with the remaining memories instead of coveting them with tears?
