SCREW 'None of this matters'! Tea really could take a moment to let the victims have their time. Forget about the legalities of Todd's confession. Cole, Marty, and Starr needed him to acknowledge what he did, and what he was going to do, for their sake. And seeing as how Tea made Starr drop the charges, by telling Starr about Todd's attempted suicide over the matter, a simple personal confession FOR THE VICTIMS seems like a small price to pay.
When it comes to Marty all it has to do with is how much he hurt someone whom he cared about,&wanted to right his wrong;but while Todd was in the thick of everything only staying focus on Marty while bypassing the world around him.He once again went about everything the wrong way.But this time around it wasn't rape, he manipulated her by not giving her the right information so things can go his way,but he didn't rape her again.I understand why Todd did what he did,but falling in love was to far.
Nora needs to be smacked! Tea should've just kicked the crap out of her! And Blair and Marty.. *rolls eyes* Todd didn't rape Marty when she was staying at his house. Just because she had amnesia did not mean she couldn't say "NO!"
Cont'd - Instead now they hate each other. The whole magic of Todd and Marty was the what might have been if Todd had not raped her. Now the magic of the characters is gone. I wish the writers had looked at Todd and Marty from 1995 & 1997 when they were getting along. There scenes were so great then. Those scenes are what made us fall in love with the characters. The chemistry between them was so great. SH had the same chemistry with TSJ that she had with RH but now they do not even talk.
@write2ap I agree that Marty should move on, it is sad that the writers refuse to have the character evolve and insist on having her as a perpetual victim. However, I hope you are not suggesting a romance between Marty and Todd, that would be very disrespectful to all the actual victims of rape. The rape story line was to shed light on an important issue, a Todd and Marty romance would make a mockery of a very same story line that won SH her emmy.
@write2ap Cont. Rape is a violent crime and should be treated as such. Any attempt to hint that rape has anything to do with romance is harmful to the actual victims of rape out in the real world unable to get justice against their attackers because they still have to deal with the perception that they "asked for it". A Todd and Marty romance would only add to that perception and make the lives of rape victims even more difficult. TSJ seems to have chemistry with everyone but that is not
@write2ap a good enough reason for a Todd and Marty romance. In agreeing to do an educational story line about rape, SH has a moral responsibility to rape victims to give an authentic portrayal of a rape victim and not do anything that might promote negative stereotypes of rape victims or make it more difficult for them to obtain justice.
I hate this scene. This is suppose to the big payoff for all of the Tarty haters. Everyone is so happy that Todd confessed to raping Marty again. I do not get it! How does making Marty a victim all over again suppose to be good. Now Tarty hates each other. A forgiveness storyline would have been so much better. Even if, they did not make them a couple. Marty forgiving Todd and walking away would been so great. Then at least they could still have some kind of relationship.
I agree with everything you say... ppl are forgetting how Marty and Todd in many ways made amends with the past... why let the darkness of the past take away the light of the future?
Thank God this wasnt Todd after all, this storyline was sick.

I love how Tea is so unnerved by Todd's touch. You can really tell how much she loves him.
