I think Yuki was just thinking with his hormones when it came to Affina at first. It was one of those RPG laws. Entitled "Thinking With The Wrong Head" it states: "The male protagonist will be willing to protect any girl he met just five seconds ago."
Just like the law that state: "Any problem can be solved by finding the right long-haired pretty boy and beating the hell out of him."
Yeah, but of the three I think GIII is at the bottom. I didn't quite enjoy it like I did II, what with the horrible voices and the corny battle chants and stuff. The story was great, though. It was just poorly executed in a few respects.
I'll give you that, I personally liked the ending of the original Grandia most than the others. You know with all the love traingle of Ryudo-Elena-Millenia, Ryudo should have ended up with one of them in the end. At least in Grandia we have some DEFINATE proof that Justin and Feena did a LOT more than just adventuring. lol ;-)
I also feel like the Yuki/Alfina relationship was RIDICULOUSLY forced. Like, I don't even know how it happened. It just did. O_o; At least with Ryudo and Elena (And Justin and Feena) there was some kind of build up.
Yeah, I probably should've muted that bit at the beginning. I think I was going to but just forgot I said anything there when the time to actually edit it came around. At least I shut up during the rest of it. ;)
03:59 When Millenia pulled back and decided to save him... That was the most touching scenes I've ever seen.. :')

Well even though it's quite similar to the original this game is worthy of being called better than Grandia 1 ^^
