Awww!! It cut off right at the climax of the scene when Meg Ryan falls through the shower door and her daughter finds her there and calls Michael for help. This is a brilliant movie. In my opinion this is both Meg and Andy's finest performance to date. Very strong acting and great chemistry between them. I LOVE this movie!!
I believe she actually says "Samantha drew a Buick on the computer - it's green". But I agree with you about saying Buick, any kid would just say car.
Of course its acting, and it would be easy to say that's that. But if your a very young babby (lets say) and is within a sceene that involves domestic violence is it right to infer that the child actually realizes that the emotion it is beeing exsposed to is anything but true??
I would think the abrupt mood change as soon as the director yells "Cut" would be a good indicator even to a young child that it's not real. And the fact that the actors are probably nice to each other when not filming.

Andy Garcia is gorgeous and a terrific husband. he truly loves his wife and does everything he can to help her. the last scene is simply beautiful. and Tina Majorino was a fantastic introduction to the American cinema. Just GREAT.

This is a great movie and it shows a very realistic protrayel of alcoholism and how it impacts the family. This particular scene is heart-breaking.
