  • I think the music composer is Timir Baran and not RCBoral or Pankaj Mullik.. According to Kedar Sharma, Balam aaye baso more man me and Dukh ke din were composed by Saigal sahab although there is no mention of this elsewhere. -ShamSamant

Thanks for the information. I think there were two versions - Bengali and Hindi released during the years 1935 and 1936 respectively. As could be seen from "IMDB" and "Upperstall" the earlier version had music by Timir Baran; and the 1936 version had MDs as mentioned by me. I do not have more information to rely. Regarding Kedar Sharma revelation, it is very interesting. Thanks again. Please infrom me the source from where Geet Kosh can be had.

Thanks for the inquiry. I am not conversant with Raag, Taal etc - I mean classical aspect. But information had from web sources indicate it as -

Raag - Desh; Taal - Dadra.

  • Classic ... Superb song by KLS

  • Thanks.

  • Mr Ramchandra, you have a very very old video of KL Sehgal.when an old postal stamp fetches lakhs of rupees, this antique of a song must be worth crores. This proves you have a very rich inheritance.

  • Thanks for the appreciation. True, I have liking for old songs. I remember the good old days of listening to Radio Ceylon .. SLBC. There is a programme from 7.30 - 8.00 AM when old tunes are played and last number in the programme pertained to the one sung by K L Saigal.
