To Jeff Monson's defense he was only 5'8 fighting a 6'6 guy. Couture is about 6 foot, or 6'1. Maybe barely 6'1. Over head punches, movement of the head, and all kinds of punches trying to neutralize Tim's reach. Rampage Jackson did the same thing against Chuck back in Pride with over head punches, and setting up with tackle. Chuck, and Tim you got to make these guys think to crack their defenses.

Randy Couture can still be classified as a wrestler, but in this match with Tim Sylvia. He wasn't a pure wrestler. You got to make Tim Sylvia think, as well as Chuck Liddell. No one trick is going to dominant them. Look at Jeff Monson who is a one trick pony, and compare his fight with Tim with Randy. You can see Randy was delivering much more to the stand up, and was connecting punches. This would only compliment his wrestling.

When Couture fought Chuck he was just looking for the take down. In this fight he was mixing it up, and making Tim Sylvia guess. Anyways Couture may face Cro-Cop next, and if Cro-Cop loses, I don't want any excuses like all the Cro-Cop peanut riders always do.
