its 12m long 3,5m wide and 4.6m high with a 27l caterpillar engine with 900hp!! its empty weight is 70tons!. its a shame that they are only very seldom used of corse they`re dimensions in germany. there a to much to little bridges

Pulling 44 tonnes from Milton Keynes up to Glasgow i had the pleasure of of a Renault, it went like the clappers on the straights but every hill it had no guts. Volvo are the best truck engines ever, & the cabs are the best.

And Renault used MACK engines until they were bought by Volvo. Since them they use Volvo engines and transmission, and in return, Volvo uses Renaults cabins for FL and FE....

In Europe, Renaults ran entirely Renault systems with Sisu Trucks running the same as the Australian Renault Mack Quantum. Extra heavy axles where made by Berliet, Sisu and Clark and fitted to the Mack Titans. FL and FE Volvo do run renault cabs. The Vovlo B7E buses run rebadged Deutz engines.

@kamilscania Producenci idą również za tym by produkować silniki które nie tylko mają potężną moc ale również nie mają potężnego spalania :)stąd może ograniczenie do 900KM a bardziej dopracowano przełożeniem mocy na siłę uciągu.Jeżeli chodzi o sterowanie to cóż,skoro do ciągnika balastowego wchodzi się jak do lokomotywy i generalnie tak wygląda:D to samo może niesterowanie ale opanowanie takiego kolosa z max ładunkiem nie jest łatwe:) W PL można spotkać trochę mniejszych braci-Faun z ZTE Radom.

I don't think the UK will ever get any. Nicolas will give you what they want, so you can't spec different gearbox/torque converter or engine for example. One gearbox has already blown up in one or Rotrans. At around half a million each, you want something reliable.
these were the 2nd load to arrive in south africa for rotran the 1st batch were 10x10x4 an weighed 72 tonne they bought 5 of these an 4 8x8s i saw them in durban before they had the fitout when they had just arrived
It's heavy Ballast truck they been out for few years think to replace the Pacific's in Africa and Asia ....Not any in uk we have Merc Titan and the still in use the Contractor, Unipower these are all much the same built for pulling upwards of 400t But if i remember correctly Sunter Brothers from Northallerton Had a Merc Titan that pull 1000t its self 20yrs ago along a Quayside
