  • lol. ok I must make a minor criticism - your dish is only half done! where's the puri? without the puri its only a bhel! ;-)

nevertheless your bhel looks scrumptious. sometimes what I do is find bits lying around like rice crispies a bit of cereal, crisps (potato/corn chips) or we usually have chevda or sev in house. then if I don't have a chutny I mix bhel with onions tomatoes chilis and mix with lemon juice or a bit of mint sauce slightly watered down and seasoned with salt sugar and chili.

  • Our pre-packaged Bhel Mix had the puri in it. It was broken up so hard to see :).

  • touché! Though it is more fun eating the bhel in whole puris or as pani puris! I even have eating challenges to see who can have the most, similar to the hot dog challenge.

  • I always use bananas instead of mango, but you can add pretty much anything you want to this dish. It's very flexible and if you have all the ingredients all you have to do is mix.

  • I <3 bhel puri. Watching this makes me want some.

  • no its not only mumbai things its all over india my dear

  • i looovveee bhelpuri

  • lol that wasn't exactly complicated. Get stuff, mix it! The hard is making the chutneys surely...

  • We have recipes for the chutneys as well. Do check on you tube or our website.

    Mint Chutney

    Tamarind Chutney

    Enjoy!

  • The mango looks green. Is that a certain kind of mango or just an underripe one? Thanks! Love your recipes!

  • Yes, that is a raw mango. You can get the detailed recipe for this on our website. Also,we would like to invite you to visit the website for a lot more recipes and videos.

    Thanks and Happy Cooking!
