These were terrible. We had two in my class back in elementary. Stuff ran so very slow. We then got a bunch of iMac G3s and they blew the Power Macs out of the water in performance.

Found one thrown away, G3 B n W model, loaded with SCSI and software and I can't do two things someone might be able figure out WMP 7 for Mac won't install when asked to reboot, it freezes terminally, A' la Windows, me thinks, What is up with that?!?!? (same for Dazzle DPM)

Haha, oh wow. I have two of these as my foot rests! Using them as file servers, you have to partition the HD's into 128GB slices, cause they can't comprehend anything larger :D

Most Pro cameras these days are that big, and this was a pro computer. That cameras a VX1000. Search it on Youtube. Its still very popular today among skateboarders.

ya i totally understand that. i usted to have the g3 as well. then the g4 and now got the mac pro. through out the years i still im still with the translucent design. i know apple is on environmental tip now so maybe thats why they havent been using much plastics besides teh mac book

You could put a g4 logicboard inside the g3 case, but you would need a g4 PSU ansirone.

I would keep it original.

No. I have a G3. It has a Zip drive. That's why if I don't end up getting one of my FD games on there, I'm giving it away to a friend. I also have a Performa 6218 CD and it has a floppy drive but no burner.
