Hey everybody! I have released my new album 'Progenitor' which has electronic music inspired by great games such as Skies Of Arcadia. You can check it out and download it for free on my youtube channel if you're interested!
i just wish companys look back and realize how games were then.... and regain that thing that was lost nowaday rpgs...most of them don't evoke that feeling that soa had
because most of them only care about casual gamers now and cater the games to them ie hold their hand, get rid of exploration ( a common problem with rpgs since ff10 and few let you do anyting anymore).
I think devs should make one series of games for casual gamers and make the other games the real games for hardcore gamers that way they'll have to pull their finger out of their ass and actually have to do something not just give you a bald space marine killing crap.
@wesker100000000 well i partially agree with you.... i don't consider myself a "hardcorer gamer" even though i play a lot of games i just like enough of the aspects that make games great don't get me wrong i absolutely love the exploration on games such as skies of arcadia (each zone was incredible original and epic ) but this doesn't mean i am against linearity in fact i like it because is more epic in short both aspects are good because is pointless wander a world without a straight epic story
I would say partially because of the cheesy voice-overs. They're kinda like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night; it just wouldn't be the same without some "Back off! Alpha Storm!", "Huaaaaahah! Cutlass Fury!", "Where there is light, there is darkness...sword of the dark moon!", "Moons, give me strength!", etc. Cheesy? Often, yes. ("C'mon: Dance for me" is always cool, though). Lovable, quotable, and endearing. Totally.
i also played the original game for the dreamcast back on 2000 and i tell you guys it was epic maybe not with the graphics of today and all but it was a remarkable adventure suggested tittle for anyone looking for a good rpg
The world was a happier place before the towers fell.

I love how this music seemed to adjust to where you were on the world map. Did anybody else notice this?

One of the best things about SOA is that it's free-roaming. I love free-roaming games.

I love this song and the Little Jack song. That song is saying "Your adventure has began" while this one says "you have come a long way, keep it up"

Hurry up batteries and charge, I wanna play this again!
I have the Gamecube version. I never had a Dreamcast, but as soon as they released this for the GC, I bought it and enjoyed the hell out of it.

this was one of the better executed RPGs of all time, i have no doubt about that, [excluding the cheesy voice-overs] but you gotta love SoA.

Always loved this theme.
I went nearly insane when that short little pain-in-the-ass wimp hijacked my ship. Then it was all divine retribution from that point on lol

They need a sequal to this game.
Only people who have played this game will know the magical feeling it has over you. Easily my favorite game.

While the little jack is more fun and adventurous this theme really fits the second half of the game well. Time to get serious and save the world.

It was my first ever RPG back when I bought it on the dreamcast. Since then I feel I could have not selected a better one.
