I'm actually having a little problem. The sound is muffled especially when the Dolby on the tx unit is on. When it's off, the muffle is still kind of there. Any thoughts?
are they really good for just music? is it loud enough that I wont have to turn the volume to the max? I do play video games online but I am more into listening to music as well even in video games, are they good enough to be used as stand alone headphones? I dont care for the price because I can see these have alot of versitility and it looks like it can be used for all around everything, thank you & please reply back.
I love wierless. they need to invent multi jack and usb receivers, that even come with the headphones/headsets. And channel options. so you could just plug one (usb or jack) into a pc on ch1 and another connected to your console in channel 2 and even one into you guitar amp on channel 3. and you just press a button on your headset to switch threw them, and to avoid constant unplugging and losing your one usb/jack receiver.

@jamiesanders1 If your a PS3 gamer and 360 or just only PS3 then you might want to double check on the X12's because they have no chat support for PS3.I have a PS3 and 360 but I decided to get them any way becuase I don't really chat that much on PS3 as much as I do XBL.If you have a PS3 and play it and chat a lot on it you will need a sound card to chat if your not willing to do that then don't get X12's if you play and chat alot on PS3.If your a 360 gamer then I would say buy the X12's instead
@jamiesanders1 You can do what you want but I wouldn't recommend you getting a 2nd set of PX21's.Your 1st pair broke for a reason they have a design flaw and there very fragile and not so durable.Most people that had the PX21's there headset broke and if hey bought multiple PX21's to replace them they would break to.If your a 360 gamer I would recommend you to get Turtle Beach X12's as there very durable comfortable have great sound and cheaper there 60 bucks and the PX21's are 80 bucks.

While you can't necessarily sound whore in MW3 like you could in MW2, the game sounds amazing and keeps me engaged. I play better because I'm focused, and I truly love the sound!
As of now, I'd recommend this headset to any friend that asked about it.

i already ordered these mostly because of the mix amp. ive had TB PX21s for over a year so if anyone doesnt wanna drop the money for the a40s the px21s are solid. the only thing i hate on them is the constant tangling of wires. they sound great too. never tried any other ones sorry.

Have you tested this on a Mac or moreover a Macbook Pro? I have Razer Characcas and for some reaason the mic wont get dected. Im told its because it is not a usb heaset ? can you confirm that the a4o will work on a macbook pro 15? I dont wanna drop 200 bucks on a paper wieght

@akaTRENT i think the reason you didn't hear a difference with the sound outside the headphones is because you had the memory foam instead of the other one. the memory foam is very pours so it lets sound and air through very easy.

@GEARSB3AST you get 3 tags with the headset upon purchase. Two have no holes for a microphone while one does so you can wear them out with both the non holed ones or you can simply take them off and have the mic in whichever ear you please

Nice review! I have owned the Turtle Beach X41's Tritton ax720 and the a40's (2010 model) with the wireless mix amp and I would have to say the Astro's are the best out of the three imho.

i have have 2 turtle beach and they borke i didn't do anything to it just put them on my head and played games so NEVER GET TURTLE BEACH
p.s it was the same part broke it was the swivle part that is connecting the head band to the earphones

the same audio out 3.5mm is an optical output that requires a mini toslink cable for work in this way.
the real trouble is that i heard imacs do not support DDL (Dolby Digital Live) wich most of the games uses for surround sound (5.1 or 7.1 for example)

@GEARSB3AST you get 3 tags with the headset upon purchase. Two have no holes for a microphone while one does so you can wear them out with both the non holed ones or you can simply take them off and have the mic in whichever ear you please

Nice review! I have owned the Turtle Beach X41's Tritton ax720 and the a40's (2010 model) with the wireless mix amp and I would have to say the Astro's are the best out of the three imho.
