Hes using the REDUCE power up which appears in the shield

category. it simply shrinks the ship making the vic viper a harder target, however every successful hit will increase the ships' size

Against Big Core Mk. II in the boss rush, there is also a second safe spot. When it comes in from the right of the screen, line up with the top red band on the front of the ship and sit still. The lasers should go right by you. :)

How do you make those options spread out anyway?

FIrst, get all four options. Then get enough power-ups so that the option spot is highlighted in your power bar. Then simply press the power-up button.

This can be done with both Rotating and Formation options.

how did you get through bigcore mk-iii in part 2:21 ?

I'm confused because it looks like cheating for everyone as i think but for me this is not cheating .

After you destroy the small protective blocks guarding the last core, you can enter that area and be safe.

Many times you can fly into places that look impossible. This is because the graphics don't always match the hitboxes.

how did you changed the size of your ship from the start of this video ?

because i sow that your ship got small and some times normal .

did you did something to the screen size like i did in gradius collection in all gradius games in it to make the ship size gets smaller .

It's the REDUCE shield.

there's a shield called REDUCE. in gradius iii snes it lowers your ship hitbox and size and increases whenever you get hit. in gradius iii arcade it only lowers the hitbox and size. for snes it is easily the best ship in the game, almost like cheating.

Lives were maxed out because of all the points I had accumulated. That Moai fight takes place on the 5th loop, on arcade difficulty.

The second music originates in Gradius II Famicom. And yes, that's the Speed Level tune from Gradius II.

Last Sog is the greatest version of *Crystal Forever* in existance.

Seems the Beacon safe spots aren't 100% safe. The randomness of the blue orbs will always catch up with you. If I can find one that totally safe, I'll add it.

refer to my graddy iii boss rush video. it's on loop 1 but as long as you get the quick kill it's safe. even if it isn't, you could move left/right quickly. i believe you need the reduce for the location i picked to be totally safe.
