well i belive they are grovers and you can get them on ebay its air not electric unless its the horn on an eQ but i dont belive that it is....you will need a compressor to
a lot of fire trucks throughout various cities say EMS or Paramedic somewhere on the rig. It usually means that there is at least one paramedic onboard. As far as I know, major cities such as L.A., and San diego are required to have at least 1 firefighter/paramedic at eah station. plus an additional 2-4 paramedics (without and fire training)at the station. Also for almost all fd's these days the firemen need to have a EMT certificate. (emergency medical techncian)
edreed24 they have EMS on there bacause when the fire department first had arial ladders they werent needed alot so to stop from banning arial ladders they also use them for medical calls.
There is always going to be need for aerial ladders period. maybe they were going to lose a couple companies, but bottom line i understand running medicals but not putting EMS on the truck, bottom line the trucks purpose is fire fighting duties, 90 percent of its equipment is fire related so EMS on a FIRE truck as a main decal looks silly
and i actually think its a great idea just cause they can treat the patient on scene with an IV until an ambulance gets there cause you gotta remember BCFD only has so many ambulances and it makes sense to have a medic to treat the patient the guy i was talking said that they can run on an ambo to so they can work on an eng and on time off get payed to ride a medic unit i would love to do that cause i like EMS and fire both the same but im talk to much so ill shut up
ya they do i was there when i went to the expo and i was talking to a guy on 23 eng. he says that BCFD is trying to become an ALS Dept. with all the guys having a medic degree but that house he said doesnt run a lot of fire they run all the spaecial shit and thats why he wanted to go ther so they all get payed more at that station cause they need extra training cause they run with the hazmat of the city
If I was sick or injured I would feel even worse for the firemen responding in a ladder truck because I could be keeping them from a worker where they could be of better use.
o i thought you were talking about the medic thing idk what they think about the horn but i dont like it that much i think it sounds weak id idnt know they were on all the new rigs but was the truck driver flicking off the taxi haha
It's not uncommon everywhere. They could be closest unit, they could be assisting the medic. Also, I love new Truck 2. It's got a neat horn. It ay not be right for a truck, but it'd be great for an ambulance. Thanks for the vid!
thats how fire trucks are supposed to sound
