Miss information. The bottom bolt does not need to be removed. That is not the drain. Unless you are wanting to see if your engine is throw metal shards. Which I truly wont happen. Most of the time. The bolt under your serial number is the actual drain bolt. The C3 takes a full liter of oil. I used Motul Injection mix.. If you are going to do a instructional video please show some hands on Footage and not hear say information. This type of info could cause damage to your scooter.
@ShmigleyWigglley The bottom drain has the oil screen that has to be cleaned every oil change, No miss info here all my info comes from being a head scooter mechanic at 3 shops.
Top speed stock is 1/2 through the Yamaha emblem on the speedo, I may pull the washer from the variator but that's about it, It's the wife's scooter and she has a 5 year warranty so I can't do to much.
5 Year warranty!! She must have bought an extended warranty. My C3 wouldn't quite go into the Yamaha symbol before it was "broken in" so it sounds you have a "strong" C3. Mine now goes well into the symbol sometimes surpassing the symbol and that is now with my restrictor back in! if you pull the restrictor make sure to put on different "RPM" springs in the clutch because if you don't you will be disapointed in the acceleration from 0-8mph.
Thats one clean C3. I would wash my C3 but it's too cold here right now. Interesting graphics on the side. What is your top speed? Do you plan on modifying it? I'm gonna mod mine with Dr. Pulley products from KS Power an MRP dealer to take it to possibly 50mph. I believe this is a superior 4 stroke 49cc scooter. It has fuel injection with liquid cooling that beats the Vespa 49cc hands down in value an performance.
