It's good to see that some people use their brain on youtube. That was not a curve shot. A curve shot is when you're using a lefty and shoot top left or a righty and shoot top right. The only way you're scoring shooting right as a lefty or left as a righty is through a screen like what happened here.
The commentary lies. A guy got called charging when he was gliding half way across the rink and the guy said "look 1-2-3 steps and so on when he didn't.
That's not really a great example. The commentary never actually takes into account anything except the penalty itself. Basically every interference call, tripping call, high stick, etc. regardless of how blatant or borderline it is gets the same commentary.
When a goalie gets screened and a goal is scored, the commentary as well as the screened goalie animation lets you know like it did here. Anybody who thinks the shot was a curve shot is clueless, period.
these goals are good and LEGIT. they are not glitches. the other team just sucked. bye the way, EA SPORTS have not fixed the glitches. jus today, a team did the wrist shot glitch 11 times in a match against my team. Glitches ruin the game. Oh and the computer in this game is a piece of shit.

Cross crease passes can be unrealistic and overeffective at times, but they at least require teamwork and it exploits bad defense like the passive AI players in this game. A good human defender like myself would not allow the cross crease very often at all.
yeah i know they require teamwork, but you know as well as i do that over 75% of the cross creases people do are the cheesey ones right in front of the goalie about an inch away.
I'm just way to used to playing hockey like how people actually play it and take shots at the point and taking rebounds, but since the AI def can stand there and keep checking you without mercy we can't play like that and things like that lead people to do the cheese goals as we call them.
I will say this, Its BS that EA doesn't tighten the AI's Def on that crease Shizzit. Do you actually see a defenseman just go back so far then STOP? And how Fng boring is your lives to do the same thing over and over and OVER again? some players that's all they do. I just put myself as a Def with a 99 for blocking shots and lay down and I don't get up....THE WHOLE GAME, it makes them stop but should I have to? But I'm not sure if I blame them or EA for not tightning up the AI. lame

I actually rewatched a few minutes of this video and I do agree that I played pretty poorly here. Out of position too much and too many stupid plays in general. With that said I've gotten a ton better and rarely ever get caught out of position now or miss a check.
With that said, the offer to play still stands if you're interested in tasting your foot.
Actually that was a good call, the penalty was for the hit on my skater at the blue line who didn't have the puck, not the guy who had the puck that got hit a second before me. They will occasionally call cross-checking on hits when people do have the puck though so you're right that it does happen (and it is stupid).
What was wrong with the first one? That's a difficult shot to make after the patch and definitely does not go in that often. It worked only because their goalie was completely screened.
We're not ranked too highly, I think we're somewhere in division 6 (100 teams per division), which isn't too shabby. Before the patch we stopped playing as much due to all the cheesing and it was hurting our record, but since the patch we've been kicking ass. I expect us to settle around a D2-D3 but we'll see.
