  • REALLY......REALLY? THIS IS NOT CONSIDERED AS A BIG PROBLEM. IT'S JUST A DAMAGED WIRE. A PROBLEM WHEN THE CAPACITOR, THE DIODE IS OVER HEATED BUT THE MOST COMMON PROBLEM IS THE TRANSFORMER IS MELTED.

  • $25?! I hope he's not your "repair guy", because I think he took you for a sucker. He could at least used heat shrink.

  • i was a little bit nervous when i was fixing my charger. same as @iam2layz, my cable also had a twisted silver strand surrounding insulated white wire. thanks to you i got an idea! the only different thing is that i didn't take the ball thing because i'm kinda scared that it may be an important part of the cable. well, its worth the risk, i saved Php1,000 (USD25-30)

  • my lap top is a gateway lap top and had it a little over a year the charger seemed perfect except the other day it started smoking out of the other end i was like WTF?? got confused then scared xD any ideas on how to fix it

  • @wizard101arena My recomendation is not to take electrical cables lightly because laptops and pc use real electricity. U do not want to ruing your 300 K home and see the entire fire department trying to put out the engulfed fire. there is a reason why the cords and cables are sealed in the US it is for your safety and they were not meant to last a century.. THe power cords are modular...I would do a garage sell and buy a new, try not to buy that is made in china..taiwanis good and japanese

  • @HelmetVanga eh i didnt open the cables at all every thing was sealed when i plugged it into the plug in it started smoking

  • o damn the things i would do to herr :)

  • hey good job..its a rare scenario of women got interested in electronics repair instead being in kitchen.even though not moving too far on circuit repairing, this was a good breakthru n makes u looked attractive.keep up a good work

  • @yeop23 why thank you! but not for the kitchen comment! you feminist :)

  • @luckyshelly06 can u please help me!? i always have my charger in my laptop and the charger is in my laptop but its not charging i have to angle the wire perfectly to have it charging!

  • is there any other way to fix it , rather than cutting it? its risky

  • @NeurOtiicEnvy be brave :) you can do it!

  • boo

  • FYI, Ebay member solenoidal sells the AC Adapter Power Supply tip for replacing the cable and the tip . One could solder the wires together or use twist-on connectors.

P.S. Couldn't post link to auction so later I'll post a video response.
