This song is more valuable for Italian people as it is all about Italy and been Italian, were as Indian version is more with dance and good to visualization, i am an Indian and i listen to both versions i like both:))
i know that people are gonna argue with me about this, but i'm entitled to my opinion and you to yours, i WAY prefer the indian version to this. the dance, the visualisation and the sheer feel and sound and aura is more enchanting:)

I love this song, reminds me of the Italy I visited in 1989, Has Italy and the Italians changed much? ....I hope not, what great times, country and people.
Thank you for posting this song and the translation of the lyrics into English. One tiny correction - vestito gessato is a striped suit when worn by a man. My wife is Italian and I always joke with her when she refers to my dresses (women's clothes) when she means my suits (men's clothes).
this song is very old toto cutugno wrote it in 1983 and because it was a popular song other country's made there own version's but this is the proper version he sung it in sanremo in 1983and thats when it was released and the song nasha ye pyar ka nasha was released later in 1985 with the 3D film Maha Shaktimaan and was wrote to suit the movie am Italian so i love that song as it represents Italy
My mom loves listing to that song cause she speaks Italian a little bit, cause my parents had moved to Italy from Poland and they lived there about half a year I think and they never taught me to speak Italian A little bit just like my brother and I speak Polish a little bit, not very much as my friends can speak Polish very good and kind of a lot, cause I never often speak Polish to my mom and I have sometimes trouble with memorizing the new words for like 5 times just like
actually 'al dente' means ... 'to the bite'...so it means perfectly cook. not less not more....it means that when u bite into the pasta or the vegetables or whatever, that u have nothing bad to say bacuase ist in perfect consistancy for your teeth.
Since the 1st time that I've heard this song I fell in love, although I'm Mexican, because of that I'm able to understand a bit of the lyrics although not the entired song, but I still luv it!!!!!
i'm from Algeria, and this song as soon as it came out, had crossed the mediterranean so fast ,every body had cought up to it and became so popular .still love it.
I love this song! The first time I heard this song on radio I felt in love with it!! I love the rythm and lyrics!! It's an amazing song! Italian sounds so nice!
and today we have Berlusconi as "italiano vero"...a indecence!! The italiano vero is the worker in "cassaintegrazione" who can not make ends meet, but he fight for his family..and not Berlusconi who makes the laws for its interests while is not interested to the problems of Italians..
To much America on posters. LOL. So true though. Even though i am American, I do agree, there is TOO much america. Ugh. But i love this song! It's great.
What a genius Toto Cutugno is. I'm Iranian and I don't have the pleasure of speaking Italian but I have enjoyed his songs greatly nevertheless. He's a credit to Italian music. Thank you for the explanation of the song and the historic background for the words.
Yes its called "nasha ye pyar ka nasha" . The indian version and the italian version were sung with two different meanings. The tune is very simmialr.
@eajinabi I collect Toto's songs in all the languages, if you are interested, look my playlist. there are much more versions of this song: spanish, greek, french, finnish...
@eajinabi hi is not a very famous singer in Italy, he is the most sung Italian composer in the world (of those who are alive nowadays). I'm his fan, and I am Russian :)
U shud also consider the fact that the indian version was shot arnd 15 years after the Italian version, so we must have used better instruments... still these copycat music dir's spoil ancient india's reputation or originality... n they call it Inspired.. funny isn't it..
Italian Partisans were the resistance movement in World War II. They fought against the German occupation and against Fascism. Alessandro Pertini was Italian President in the 80s and he was a Partisan during the war.
