I saw the new GNR in Kansas City last month and they were better than ever. It was by far the best concert I have ever seen. It would kick ass to see all of the original members together again but it's not gonna happen; so get over it and enjoy the new band....they rock.

1. Axl's voice has deteriorated big time, he cant hit those high notes as great as he once could
2. This band is retarded. the drummer can't even jam to the simple rocket queen beat and the guitarists can't even improvise (if thats what they've chosen to do) to the opening chords and solos
3. They need to quit. GnR will never be the same after Steven Adler was fired :(. Even though Matt was a pretty good drummer, when Izzy Slash and Duff left, the ban was dead.

This is awful. Axl should never have kept the band going. Look at some of their early gigs, and you will realise just how bad this is. GnR were headliners, they ruled the stage, and they had the whole crowd in their palms. This looks like some 'hobby-band'. I've seen tribute bands perform better.
In the day, GnR were one of the best bands on earth. Once they split, it was no longer the same band. Axl needs to come to his senses, and realise that GnR are dead.

But the direction change and so forth is because it isnt GNR anymore. You can't change every band member in a band other than one and it still be the same band which was my original point. At that point, its just someone using the name. You couldn't of have taken Ringo, Paul, and George out of the Beatles and it still been the Beatles.

It didn't seem like there was really any in CH DEM, like in slashes wild horses cover...lots of emotion. In patience and dont cry and so on and so forth, lots of emotion. Didn't feel it and didn't feel like the musical talent was there this time
@625Ruben couldn't agree, this i love a lot of emotion in that not just Axls brilliant vocals the guitar solo is great... and i can't stand Robin finck (who also played the outro solo for better which was also very tasteful). street of dreams had a really great and emotion full solo. the albums polished agreed! but the performances for the most part have a lot of energy! catcher in the rye is another, there was a time. man!:) also the musical talent is definitely there! those guys can play!

I'll honestly go as far to say that aside from the Foo Fighters, Slash's solo album is the best thing to represent rock n' roll since Guns N' Roses. Chinese Democracy was a joke, and there were about 14 songs on that cd that sucked. Rose is a joke.

@625Ruben i wouldn't agree with that. i already know theres no point arguing the issue with you. you don't like it... and thats fair enough, doesn't bother me... however i think the albums pretty good! it took a few listens but once i got over the direction change it was hard to deny that the songs were great.... if just a little over polished!

@mrphilcollins Well Ive had plenty of albums like that but the amount of people that dislike it to the amount that like it is a lil lopsided not in his favor. But the direction change and so forth is because it isnt GNR anymore. You can't change every band member in a band other than one and it still be the same band which was my original point. At that point, its just someone using the name. You couldn't of have taken Ringo, Paul, and George out of the Beatles and it still been the Beatles.

@625Ruben and i would also agree its not the same band. but are megadeth? whitesnake? no! but they still make great albums and nobody has a problem with them or that they have a new line up each album... the problem with the album and why people don't like it is Axl. people don't like him, want him to fail and certainly won't accept new material from him unless it has slash. personally a new gnr record with slash? i have my doubts... he hasn't done anything to impress me since GnR 20 yrs ago!!!!

@mrphilcollins Well agreed but those two bands weren't as big as GNR and didn't end the way GNR did. Slash obviously wont ever be with GNR again and I'im not saying he goes back and its all better...it would take all 5 of em because they all helped write it all. As for he hasn't impressed you, well that's you, he has plenty of others. And as for the everyone hating axle...well he kinda did that to himself...hes not exactly a likable person

@625Ruben true...but if you're going to base musical taste on what the artists personality is like then... i'm afraid you will have a very slim cd rack. i don't listen to GnR because of Axl or anyone else for that matter i just like the songs, great singer, great musicians... thats all i need. and for that, thats why i like Chinese democracy, great singing and and great musicians laying what i consider great songs (not all of them rhiad and scraped aren't the strongest).

@mrphilcollins Well hopefully no one does. But a big part of why I like the music I do is because of emotion thats put into the song. It didn't seem like there was really any in CH DEM, like in slashes wild horses cover...lots of emotion. In patience and dont cry and so on and so forth, lots of emotion. Didn't feel it and didn't feel like the musical talent was there this time

@625Ruben couldn't agree, this i love a lot of emotion in that not just Axls brilliant vocals the guitar solo is great... and i can't stand Robin finck (who also played the outro solo for better which was also very tasteful). street of dreams had a really great and emotion full solo. the albums polished agreed! but the performances for the most part have a lot of energy! catcher in the rye is another, there was a time. man!:) also the musical talent is definitely there! those guys can play!

like it would of been cool if they changed the intro a little but at least kept it in tact with the song, oh my god was robin finck such a bad selection, dj ashba and bumblefoot together are great....yes i miss the original lineup too, and brain didnt really do so well either and axl didnt even know when to come in because they didnt do the intro showing when hes supposed to come in

Read it out loud, and you will realise what the problem is. Also, if 1 or 2 people leave a band, they can be replaced. However, if ALL the band leave, and the singer keeps on singing; thats called a 'solo career'. If you like 'NewGnR, thats fine. Just don't mix up this 'trubute band' with the real GUNS N' ROSES. Theyre not GnR. Its just axl and a few mates. Axl could have done something after GnR, he could've made some great music. I remember 2 GNR albums coming out at the same time, and both were/are best sellers. Now, he misses deadlines, gigs, and interviews, and spends over a decade to finish one album. How is that the same? It's not. It's just as sad as your obsession. Axl died when GNR ended. Get over it!

@BurritoBryan Yes, Rose´s voice IS better. Have you seen any recent videos? He sounds great these days. And the 3 guitars are needed for the ChinDem stuff. There´s an old demo of IRS with only two guitars on YouTube, and somehow it doesn´t sound right.

Have you not heard Chinese Democracy? Axl turned a great gritty rock n' roll band into an industrial, auto-tuned, overproduced pos. I'll honestly go as far to say that aside from the Foo Fighters, Slash's solo album is the best thing to represent rock n' roll since Guns N' Roses. Chinese Democracy was a joke, and there were about 14 songs on that cd that sucked. Rose is a joke.

damn this is terrible. the drummer doesn't open his hi-hat cymbal, the guitarists have lousy effects and screwed up intro, the bass doesn't have that high end sound duff has... it's just bad!
