  • What are the best settings for taking really high quality waterdrop pictures like the ones in this video? I also have the Nikon D3000 and I'm shooting with a Sigma 70-300 f/4-5.6 DG APO macro/telephoto zoom lens. I also have the 18-55 mm Nikkor lens that came with the camera.

  • @jwemt81 I used the 18-55 kit lens... And i think i was at F11 for a good depth of field.. Use an off camera flash to freeze the motion... at its max synch speed... think its 1/200 sec on the D3000.. i also used an remote to trigger the camera and flash... and you'll have to take alot of pictures to capture the right moment.. You can go check out a guy named Gavin Hoye or something on how to set it up... Mine was very similar.. Good luck with the project... you'll get some awesome pictures:)

  • The song is The XX - Intro(Long Version)

  • hi i have some questions about dslr and photography, if u want to take a good shot at night without long exposure do i always use tripod ? and how much shutter speed and aperture

  • @BillieJean900 Hey there...Sa a rule of thumb.. Your shutterspeed should be as fast as your focallenth.. So if your're using a 50 mm lens.. Your shutterspeed sould be at 1/50 of a sec.. However if the lens has image stabilazation i can reduse that between 3 - 4 stops... But this is only a rule of thumb... And rules are meant to be broken:)

  • Nice vid. Could you please make a vid with the whole set-up? What kind of lightning did you use? Tnx

  • @weimaranermedia Sure... but i'm gonna be away for the next week or so.. but when i get back.. i'll try to make a video about how i set i up..

  • Very COOL, CHeck out my Photography portfolio video, i shoot with a D3000 too

  • are you using the original 18-55mm lens

  • @CBG0829 Yes this was shot on a nikon d3000 with the 18-55 mm kit lens... So it is possible to get good shots with it... well atleast i think they came out pretty nicely...
