  • I got a Paper Quilling Kit for Dummies, for Christmas, I tried the rose but the paper is too small. Can I use another type of paper for quilling or do I need to have quilling paper?

  • @KitKatKaitlin97 You can use any kind of paper for this (except for maybe tissue paper that might tear too easily)

  • Where did you get all your supplies? Thanks!

  • @cupcakes4life1 I get mine online at quillingsuperstore(do)com

  • @cupcakes4life1 **(dot)

  • @yoyomax12 Thankyou! I got the starter kit and love it! I love you and your cupcakes so much. Keep it up!

  • I love the jokes at the end of your tutorials, I have only seen two so far! I will tell them to my son. My sons favorite joke is: Why wouldn't the skeleton cross the road? Because, he had no guts! Lol :)

  • @darlingpandora That's a funny coincidence because Max told me this exact joke just the other day, lol!

  • i love your song that you have at the beginning

    love your videos :) :D :o

  • @SuperRugster Thanks for stopping by!

  • I want to learn the art of quilling and your videos are very good, thanks for sharing, I realized there are not too many videos about it and the most if them, they just show their works but no explanations, so thanks again.

I just ordered some stuff to start doing it, so I hope the fringer that is on its way, it works good, cause I don't have any practice at all.

  • @Cymoga I had no problems with my fringer once I go the hang of it, I even found out I could do two pieces at once in it, that saved a lot of time.

Quilling is a lot of fun , it takes a lot of practice and patients, but it will be worth it, the results are so pretty

  • no I cannot return it. I guess It will never work again . The blade just slips on the paper.

  • thanks for the lovely video. I too have a fringer but mine does not cut through the paper. Its new but somehow I cannot get the cuts. Please help.

  • @anitak160 In order to get good cuts I need to press the lever down and slightly to the left in a firm gesture. It is hard to describe, kind of like you need to hold scissors in a certain way to get them to cut. If you continue to have issues can you return it?

  • Awesome video!! Thanks for the easy instructions!! :)

  • That is so awesome! I've never heard of quilling before. I've seen a few people show magnets from you and wondered how you did it. They are so cute. I think I might try it!

    Lori :)

  • I find that quilling is a very relaxing craft. The repetition and attention to details is calming to me, like meditation.

  • hi, im about to buy this little machine, but i wanted to know if this can cut the 3mm paper strips as well as the 10 mm?

  • I tried to use it to cut the smaller strips (1/4 inch) 3mm but I found that the machine I have doesn't do a very good job. There is an adjustment on the machine for smaller paper and the website says it is supposed to cut the smaller paper, but I find it doesn't work well for the smaller paper.

  • tx heaps for replying dat was a gd tip.

  • your papercrafts are amazing! so that's how you do the roses & fringy ones! very cool ;)

  • Thanks Gail! Hope you like the one I sent you.

  • That fringing machine is all kinds a cool!! The roses are made very similarly to ribbon roses. Beautiful!! Thanks, Grams

  • Never tried ribbon roses before, I bet they would be similar because you are using long ribbon like strips.

    Thanks Angela

  • You are so going to get me hooked on doing this.

    Hehehehe Fans!

  • You can make such beautiful things with such simple techniques. I find the whole quilling thing very satisfying. I find it almost like meditation.

  • I love this video. I am a new quiller so this is great help. I added to my favorits. I will be making these flowers very soon. Thanks.

  • I love all sorts of papercrafts and quilling is one of my favourites!

  • I forgot to tell you I bought my beginners quilling kit today! I'm so excited! I can't wait to try it out!

  • You did??? !!!!! Wonderful!

I can hardly wait to see what you make!

Be patient, it takes a little bit to master the basic techniques. There are some excellent books at the library on quilling and some videos on YT as well (not necessarily mine, lol)

  • It's a great hobby if you enjoy working with paper.

I hope you give it a try.

  • These are very cool and so pretty!

  • Thanks! I love papercrafts, there are so many things you can do!

  • Wow Tammy!

Those roses are tops in my book!

I like the fringer too - what a tool!

    mike

  • Thanks Mike,

    I also like the roses.

  • Of course its called a fringer, what else would it be? Very cool Tammy, I wondered what the process for making the flowers was.

  • Now that you mention it, you are right of course, what else would they call something that fringes? lol.

  • Awesome, Tammy you make this all look so easy! HUGS xoxox Thank you for sharing.

  • Thanks Peggy, they really are easy to make with pratice :)

  • The rose was amazing. They were both pretty, but the rose took me by surprise. You do such a wonderful job of making things look simple and easy. :)

  • Thanks Liz, but they are simple and easy to make! Just takes a little practice.

    :)

  • Very instructive video! You are a natural!

    love you!

  • Love you to Mom

  • I love seeing these crafty videos. :)

Your new intro is so catchy!

  • Thanks Sue,

Many people only watch for my craft videos , so I like to do those every so often.

  • haha I just love your opening. :)

Yes, I see the fringe. That is one nifty machine.

Oh oh oh the rose is so very cool. Reminds me of ribbon roses :)

    These are wonderful classes, Tammy.

    The magnets are awesome.

  • I've never made the ribbon roses before, another thing I'd like to try!

I love the catchy tune in my opening, I catch myself humming it often, lol!

  • I have always loved quilling. My mom has some place in the house, a quilled picture. But it was all done with what looked like thin strips of wood. I know it is very old. If I can ever find it I will take some photos and show them.

  • Ooooooohhhhh I would love to see the quilled picture with the wood! I hope you find it, thanks Tori.

  • that was great...you made it look so easy...I would never be able to do one ....I am "very" heavy handed..... : )

  • Joe, I looks easy because it really is!

    Just a little patience that's all :)

    Thanks.

  • I've never seen that fringe tool thingy ever. Very cool. I had heard the word quilling in relation to crafting before but until I watched your vids I hadn't actually saw what it was. Your magnets are very pretty. You make it looks so easy. The Craftylicious ones usually do. : )

  • They have different kinds of fringers as well, for different angles of cuts. Many goodies to buy!

  • that is so much fun to watch . The flowers are just beautiful. I just can't start another hobby got too much going on right now so I will just enjoy watching you..

  • I know what you mean....I'm always discovering new hobbies, just not enough time for it all!

  • This is a great video. I sat here mesmerized! I love the roses! The pink hues are lovely.

  • The roses are so easy and they turn out so nice!

  • they sit next to their fans! ha ha I like that one.

  • Max says thanks.

  • You make it look so simple. I guess it is with some practice. How did you first start quilling?

  • I started quilling about a year ago. It is easy to learn and easy to do with very little practice.

  • Wonderful! They look pretty easy to do, or maybe you just make it look easy. hehe

  • It really is easy!

  • wow you are so patient and talented!

    xoexo

  • Thank you sweet Eden!
