Even if they all died when they crashed it does not explain missing cast members at the church and people who were not even on the airplane like penny......
@Demicron Obviously, they didn't die when they originally crashed and I'm not a fan of this ending, however, there is a perfectly reasonable explanation as to why some people were absent - those characters weren't a spiritual part of this group, just as Ben was waiting outside (presumably for Alex, Rousseau, some of The Others). Penny was there because she did have real and vital connections to people there. The only real flag for me was - why was Aaron there as a baby?
@southstaronline We understood it, but it was a giant FUCK YOU to all of the viewers. The producers said that the characters weren't dead. What the fuck? The producers said that questions would be answered, but half way through the final season, it became apparent that they themselves didn't have explainations. Why couldn't they give us an episode explaining the origins of the island? And at the ending, what about characters like Anna Lucia, Echo, Ben, Walt, etc? And what was the smoke monster??
I think its too easy to come to a reaction like this. I admit the ending did leave me begging for more. But looking back trying to figure it out and putting your own personal spin on it I think is basicly the whole meaning of the show.
best ending in history..

They were all alive and experienced mysterious stuff for MEMORIES to think about when they die!?? LAUGH FUCKING OUT LOUD.
I wanted crazy mind blowing sci fi answers to the questions that made the show interesting. Not that bullshit
