@proslice56 #1. The oxygen on Venus isn't " free oxygen " and you most certainly couldn't breathe on Venus seeing as how the atmosphere is mostly carbon dioxide. #2. Saturn does indeed have an axial tilt of 90 degrees. So ?? Uranus has an axial tilt of 97.77 degrees. #3. The ring of Jupiter isn't " lost ". It's an SEB ( Southern Equatorial Belt ) fading cycle event. These cycles occur approximately every 3 to 15 years. #4. Polar Wander is nothing new, especially around Russia. SCIENCE !!!

@ReneeNme i apologies. i believe Titan and Europa are both ice covered. the gravitational pull of Jupiter and saturn causes the moon to expand and contract. this causes internal friction and results in the interior of the moons to have volcanic or seismic activity. i believe at certain times the ice cracks giving that appearance but I've never heard anyone confirm that they have tectonic plates.

The NASA IRTF's not the only infrared telescope. The UK own one too, UKIRT. These are managed by academic institutions like the Institute for Astronomy University of Hawaii. That means NASA provide the money, and the science is done by academics... normal civilians, like the so called whistle blower. The thing is, anybody can apply to use the IRT's if they are actually doing solar system research. Hence, there would be hundreds of whistblowers if it were true.
