What I think caused this glitch was that samus detected a bug in the hand scanner and didn't want to squash it for some reason.

Its different because a glitch is what YOU do.A glitch is like you press tab on the computer and you get a lot of money. A bug is a thing that it wont work but you DONT do it. A bug is some thing else triggers some thin else to not work so thats the differance.

the thing you just explained is a cheat... for me a glitch is something that's funny/weird/usefull you can trigger by yourself, a bug is just the negative version, it prevents you from playing the game any further. and bugs are just bigger and more fatal than glitches to me

@Tjkfbi actualy a glitch and a bug are the same, but peole just call negative glitches bugs, and you dont really have to do anything for a glitch to happen, there is just something in the program that didnt get through or if you DO make a glitch happen it could be becaus eyou did something/got somewhere too early or too late.

Yes, because every single time I got right in front of the scanner, I never once pressed the A button. I'm just that stupid. You use hand scanners several times in the game before even getting to this part. But I was too dumb to ever consider pressing the A button during this part of the game <_< Come on...this is a known glitch...

Takes place on different planets this time around. It is after MP2 sequentially story-wise.

The thing in this game that scared me the most, was when I opened a door and a freaking pirate dicinegrated right in front of me, and made that weird noise.

My guess is you didnt backtrack far enough. You need to get it to load another part of the level. Backtracking to the hallway where the Phazon Hoppers are should do it. But backtracking into the other room wont, because they are both in the same load zone.

No the worst is when you're in the room loaded with the Phazon Metroids and the bloody doors don't open. Now it would be easy to turn around and kill the Metroids, but when you want to leave the Valhalla fast to get to your next objective, you don't "stop and shoot the Metroids."

backtracking one room doesnt work because it hasn't reloaded the room. you have to be 2 away for it to do that.... of course theres only the one to go back to so you would have to enter your ship and/ or fly away
