  • M&W´s meta sketches are the best ones by far. this is just pure genius comedy

  • hahaha there's a guy in the audience that shouts "oioi" at 2:00

  • I like how they've increased the size of his goatee and glasses, in the sketch chiropractor character.

  • This is, without doubt, the funniest sketch in all of comedy since the Two Ronnies fork handles sketch.

  • After watching the homeopathy and nutrionist videos I had higher hopes for this one... Surely they realise the joke is Chiropractic 'medicine' itself?

  • @tehmadcap Yeah as if seeing Robert Webb in high heels and pantyhose isn't funny enough. Stop your whining.

  • @tehmadcap Yeah as if seeing Robert Webb in high heels and pantyhose isn't funny enough. They wanted to do a stupid sketch, they just happened to choose a chiropractic office. Stop whining.

  • @tehmadcap don't reeeeeeeeally think the validity of chiropractic medicne is the focal point here, but yes well done.

  • There is a live audience.

  • this is a very clever sketch

  • I'm going to share your video with the rest of my friend, hope you don't mind? really helpful information

  • for the people who don't seem to understand, the whole thing is the sketch, the 'real chiropractor' does a lot of sketches with them. The audience are all hired extras too. It wasn't a real interruption.

  • @leprechaun192

Was all that filmed in front of a live audience?

  • @z8000783 there's no live audience. There's the 4 actors, a lot of hired extras forming the 'audience', and the people manning the cameras. No members of the general public there at all.

  • @leprechaun192 That was a live audience, they film as many of their sketches as possible in front of one to get a genuine laughter track, I was lucky enough to get tickets to be in the audience for series 3.

  • @HarrisJamesBen Aaahhh, that answers my age-old question of "How the hell do they get such realistically sounding canned laughter in this show?!" :P

  • Didn't Fry and Laurie do something like this, where they wrote in the laugh track audience?

  • Tschorry!

  • here's yer paperwehk serr!

  • 16 people wear ugly goggle-glasses, are ladies with weird hats, socially-handicapped chiropractors, cross-dressers and comedians running out of material.

  • love this so much

  • COCK!!

  • Smells like Monty Python. And that's not a bad thing.

  • I laughed a bit at the end but this one kinda failed....

  • @rabidtangerine

I think this sketch is all a bit crap intentionally just to make the end bit a funnier punchline.

  • excellent sketch. a lot like fry and laurie actually. terrific punchline.

will you people please stop discussing religion here? Try a sketch that does involve or comment on the stupidity of religion somehow. Disrespect religion all you want, but respect (good) comedy!

  • Best sketch !

  • nice legs.....

  • Ha Ha. Metahumor.

  • HERE'S YER PAPERWERK SIR!

  • For some reason I just completely lose control at "gratsluitslouslh splteeltch impediment"

  • BRILLIANT!! A CHARACTER!

  • ...

    ...

COCK! Yes, yes, it sounds like COCK!

  • quite similar to Fry and Laurie (and not for the first time) with the audience member breaking the fourth wall and such. still funny.

  • Wow this is genius, how am I just discovering Mitchell and Webb now

  • I love it when comedy and philosophy come tohether

  • Typical. You come here to watch a Mitchell & Webb sketch and find morons arguing over the origins of religion.

  • @ hurricaneUK

That's YouTube for you, every fucking video has morons arguing over religion, evolution or racism- regardless of the video's content.

  • @Baldurpet

    hahah good call

  • should have seen an osteopath

  • Chortle....we don't really have chiropractors in England do we though? Osteopaths maybe.

  • @dfarmbrough Of course you get Chiropractors lol. Are you ignorant or blind? :P

  • Neither - but they're really an American thing aren't they?

  • @dfarmbrough No, they are a health thing. So in fact, you are not ignorant or blind, yet naive? Not meaning to sound like a dickhead, but you need to learn more about the world lol

  • It's of disputed value - many medical professionals think of chiropracsy as a pseudo-science like reflexology or homeopathy

  • @dfarmbrough That is not the question in discussion. Many things are of a disputed value, doesnt mean you dont know about them :P

Anyway, im off to get more cocktails pre-made lol, have fun man

  • Cock!

  • I love the sound of "Genuinely amusing Chiropracting stories"

  • i dont see why people believe in religion its controlling bollocks

  • So is real life.

  • what the hell does that have to do with anything?!

  • What exactly does Jesus have to do with chiropractors?

  • @Pkyewbeam "For the lord said unto Peter; 'Thou hast a slipped disk' upon which he rubbed his hands upon the back of Peter in the city of Cairo and eased the pain of his most beloved friend"

  • @Pkyewbeam Theyr both superstition.

  • @AngelBiLove Chiropractors are essentially masseuses, and Jesus of Nazareth definitely existed (whether or not he was the Son of God is a matter of opinion).

  • @Pkyewbeam I knew all of that. I was simply cimmenting for humerous effect!

  • @Pkyewbeam There is literally zero evidence for his existence. Sorry bout that.

  • A sketch takes a turn for the meta...

  • Very clever sketch!

  • Rob has very sexy legs :D

  • Is their inspiration Fry and Laurie in some way? Their sketches really reminds of Fry and Laurie, with a little less quality (which don't necessarily mean it's bad - just less brilliant). I'm happy to have found this.

Mitchell is like Stephen Fry, and Webb is a tiny bit like Hugh Laurie. That's they way I picture it anyway.

Oh, I've sat here for an hour watching them - they're hilarious!

  • Sort of reminds me of the fourth-wall-breaking Fry and Laurie used to do

  • this is actually really clever ;P

    x

  • I pray this happened in real life.

  • No i wont why dont u shut up and tlk to ur imaginary friend because u dont hav any real ones. This sketch is funny!!!!!!!! remember tht God boy!!!

  • lol

  • The name of this document is?

There were many reformist rabbis and preachers about at this time, some were considered a threat to Roman occupation, yet a man named Jesus (or Jeshua) was not listed. Nor, despite this being the great literary age of Augustus, was any other reference to him made by the great poets and writers of the Jews (apart from the Josephus forgery centuries after his death).

Also Nazareth did not exist until about 136 AD; the story was fabricated to fit in with prophecy.

  • there's no actual evidence that jesus ever existed apart from the bible which was written 200 years after his death. hardly proof.

  • Yeah, that and uh, the records the Romans left behind talking about Jesus.

I mean it doesn't mean he was divine or anything but shit, there's enough evidence a dude with his name was out and about.

  • there isn't any evidence or "records the romans left behind" . apart from the 4 gospels (written 200 after his death) there is no evidence that jesus ever existed. anyway please dont reply 'cause i dont want this to become an endless flame war on a mitchell and webb sketch. i respect you if you believe in jesus but don't say there's any evidence of his existence other than the bible, cause im sure people are getting bored of reading what is turning into an essay.

  • there is about as much evidence that Jesus existed then anybody in ancient time existed. So in theory, people like Plato never existed

  • no there is written evidence of plato that originates from the time of his life, there is no such evidence for jesus.

  • yes because jesus wrote a large amount of well known scientific(for the time) books did he? and Plato's work has obviously been chopped, changed, added to and taken away from, roughly translated and revised just as much as the bible hasn't it?

  • not science, philosophy. Its just a little silly to say someone never existed when there is so much evidence. And has been spoken of in many different religions. There is no way to prove he was the son of God or not, but he still was a living person. Why dont you think he existed?

  • Because from the evidence within the bible the jesus described to us is actually a conglomeration of myths from several older cultures (greek, roman zoarastrian, hindi, jewish, steppes paganism, germanic paganism ect) pieced together with some descriptions of the many 'prophets' which were preaching around the time attributed to his existance. If there was a jesus then he is more like a symbolic avatar of religion at this time than anything else. and where is the evidence exactly? the bible? ha.

  • um, no. just...no. hah. i can clearly we are not going anywhere with this, i have better things to do then speak religion on the internet.

  • baHAHA! are you actually trying to play the atheist loser on an internet comedy video?! get a life!!! LMAO

  • stop feeding te troll

  • if its sinful, don't watch it and stop trying to push your religious on all.

  • What sketch?

  • piss of

  • much praise, but Fry and laurie did it first.

  • What sketch was there's?

  • This is classic, love it ^^

  • Alright Lily, calm down.

  • I thought this was very clever and, as comedy sketches go, not particularly predictable. I love how M&W blur the fourth wall with such skill :)

  • So THAT'S where they get ideas from!

  • can people stop leaving gay comments and please just watch the bloody vid?

  • but why use the word "gay" to mean stupid and pointless?

  • believe it or not, the word "gay" actually has another meaning that has nothing to do with sexual preference. Used sarcastically, you may find it to mean ANYTHING YOU WANT! :O:O:O

Harden the fuck up mate. Not everyone is having a go at the minorities ;)

  • Exactly, and to paraphrase Simon Amstell, if anyone's offended by the idea that gay can be used without having negative connotations connected to gay people, then they can just Jew off and stop being so fucking black about it.

    Fucking genius you are.

  • Hahaha! That's the best piece of writing I've seen all week Zd ;)

  • HAHAHAHA XD

  • @ZdPhoenix Kinda missing the point about the fact that he's saying that you don't call someone black or a jew as an insult but you do for gay.............

  • Don't get me wrong - I find Mitchell & Webb to be hilarious, but after skimming over many a "genius" comment I must concur with Htrac in that this is getting far 'more credit than it deserves'. However I disagree in that you cannot see the real direction of this sketch until at least 1:22. The stockings were a nice surprise though.

On a different note - I'm loving what they put Olivia Colman through here.

  • Wow, Robert has great legs ^-^

  • lol, they are so clever, so unique

  • Don't see how the end is predictable... Anyway, funny sketch, great show...

  • Quite a genius sketch - how did they come about writing it?!?! Very clever!!

  • really?

  • this is sucha clever sketch!

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • this is the funniest 1 ever!

  • One of the most smart and clever bits ever performed in a sketch.

I laughed my ass off but the rest of my family did not get it.

  • was the real chiropractor the guy from ashes to ashes? he looked and sounded a lot like him, but with a bit more weight.

  • yes thats what i thought!

  • I was thinking this sketch was a bust up until about 1:22. But it's definitely one of the most clever things I've seen on this show.

  • Fourth wall*

  • Hehehee...

  • "schorry" lol i love this sketch!!! one of my faves!

  • the chiropractor sounds like little britain with the paraplegic sketches

  • "paraplegic"? his name is ANDY

  • Exscuse me!

    I'm his real chiropractor

    Ha classic :]

  • i love davids slight pause when asked if he thinks the chiropractor looks like robert :)

  • this is genius. a refreshing change from the usual crap were forced to watch nowadays.

  • Anyone else see the 'A Bit Of Fry And Laurie' sketch where the same thing happened but with an angry fan who claimed they stole his material?

  • Oh come on! It's completely different!

  • there are a few similarities but you are right its completely different

  • Yes. That was a good sketch too!

  • was that his real chiropractor?

  • No, lol the guy was an actor :)

  • LOL all due to me being an obsessive Mitchell and Webb fan :D He is played by Mark Evans.

    *hides face in shame* haha

  • And because its fucking obvious?!

  • david mitchell is hilarious in this sketch.

  • ...and he writes it down. :-)

  • m + w rock all the way best comedy ive seen in ages

  • M & W rock, best humour in ages, big up the revive !!!!!

  • that is wicked...genius

  • 1'st time you see it its wonderous. Make the best of it cos once you know the joke all the funny is sucked out of it.

    Supert, clever writing.

  • Genius!

  • lmao hilarious XD

  • that is great

  • LOL

Hang on a minute, I'm his real chiropracter LOL

  • Good idea.

  • Ahahaha

  • Too much but still good...DC

  • This is so clever and original

    Lmao, really funny
