  • Correct me if I am wrong..........and I could be............ but does he look like the emperor who electrocutes Luke SkyWalker at the end of "Return of the Jedi"???????????

  • Hit the nail on the head with advice to stick to the conservative platform instead of sacrificing principle to get along with the opposition

  • A gentleman and a scholar. He was a bond to past generations that possessed optimism and the virtue of honesty. (I could really go for a Schwinn Airdyne commercial narrated by Mr. Harvey right now.) I was introduced to him by my grandfather when I was five or six in the mid-1970's. I hope their heavenly paths cross. ;=)

  • I'd never seen or heard Paul Harvey speaking off the cuff. What an intelligent, well-spoken individual! What an amazing grasp of the media business. I didn't always agree with his "comment," but what an enjoyable character to listen to over the years. I will miss you, Mr. Harvey! Good day!

  • best. voice. evar.

  • What a prediction he makes at 3:40!! I guess this was about 1980....around 25 years before Youtube.

  • He refers to "President Bush coming in" so most likely around 88.....

  • 2000

  • You provided a great service to all of us radio listeners. Rest in peace!

  • past a great memory, being at my grandpas house and listening to paul harvey when we were out in the pole barn working on the tractor.... past a great day.

  • another icon from the norman rockwell era gone. not many left. hope cronkite lives to 120!

  • You and your radio show will be greatly missed. An icon from radio is gone.

  • Mr. Harvey was an institution...no one could deliver the news like he could. He was a great American and will be missed.

  • gonna miss you paul!

  • Paul,

    Thank You!

    You were the ulitmate!

  • RIP PAUL HARVEY!

  • RIP..I listed to him all the time when I was a kid.

  • Paul Harvey passed away today...rest in peace!

  • RIP Paul Harvey.

  • Jimmy Carter is only 6 years younger than Paul, but here it looks like he is 30 years younger. And he looks much different here. And why is the president giving him an interview, it should be the other way around.

  • This is not Jimmy Carter the President, this is Jimmy Carter the radio commentator on Entertainment.

    RIP Paul Harvey

  • What an American Treasure Paul Harvey is.

  • My parents and I have listened to this man on radio for years

  • His voice certainly doesn't match his face.

  • P.A.U.L. H.A.R.V.E.Y. = "Patriotic American Ultimately Leaves Hearers Authentic Radio Voice Every Year"

  • Wow! What a Great voice. None other like him.

  • Jimmy Carter in that interview asked Paul if he had any advice for President Bush who's going to be taking over the presidency and so the interview must have been after the 1988 election and before January 1989 when Reagan left.

  • Hey, I was just saying two days ago that Paul Harvey is of the same ilk as Art Linkletter.

Living men from the Jack Benny era.

  • when was this interview?

  • Im osrry for taking so long to get back..the 80's I think...maybe early 90's..but I think 80's maybe even like 85!

  • @John19182004 He asked the question about advice for "President Bush coming in" @ 5:30 so, I'd say it was very late 2000, or Jan. 2001, right?
