  • aaaaaand running dismount! hahaha, amazing! I wish I knew even how to begin how to do xc.

  • Nice ride! Must have been a fantastic moment, and fun to watch afterwards!

  • wow, it's so amazing!

  • Throughout the video why did you keep shouting out the horses name? Does it encourage him or was it just becasue he was doing a great job?

  • @patkins1 what do you guys all do to get the horse stable and cooled down after the course? Great ride!!!

  • Your horse is incredible, he just jumps everything in stride!

  • At 10:51 I had to hold my breathe. Pretty frightening! Other than that, that was awesome!

  • Miss that so much :/ Thanks for the ride.. Good boy Henny!!! :)

  • This horse is amazing and you are you! I cant believe that horses will actually be so brave! If I was a horse I would run the other way screaming haha

  • what helmet cam do you use?

  • RUN HENNY!!

  • oh my days, the air over the jumps, i hold my breath just watching it!

  • 10:51 looked quite scary!

  • what happend at 10:51?

  • amazing. it looks so easy.. last weekend i was not very successfull at alpe adria eventing cup :D it was nothing if i compare to that video.. :DD but i know it was a lot of hard work

    greets from austria

  • I watch this again and again... Best helmet cam vid ever!! Go Henny Go!!!

  • Thats so amazing!! You can appreciate how big the fences are from the amount of time the horse is in the air...a long time!!

  • OMG !!! C'est fabuleux ! On a les sensations des champions même si on fait du cross à tout petit niveau !!! Pfiou Magique ! Mais où est fixée la caméra ?

Expérience à renouveler, encore et encore !!!!!

  • your horse LOVES his job. his ears never went back!

  • Wow! This the reason why I get up every day. All the years of work for those minutes.... All worth it! Inspiring.

  • I love how he runs with his ears forward and when he gets to a jump he listens to you right before it :) .

You sir have a very adorable and intelligent horse , but also you have done really good work with him , he's really well trained , not fased by anything :)

  • I patted him??? He did one of the toughest things out there like it was nothing!

  • @patkins1 OH! i thought you were slapping him! i agree he is a awsome horse! keep up the good work! and sry for the mistake ;/

  • @wolfsrule100 Some horses like a firmer pat than others. Peter wouldn't ever hurt a horse.

  • @IzabellaSingleton  i know that now :}

  • @wolfsrule100 If you knew that why did you say he smacked him?

  • @JumpingPerfection121 BECUASE i thought when i wrotwe the comment that he smacked him i only got it after Izbellasingleton explained it GET A LIFE it was 5 months ago and i dont really rember posting that comment go bug someone else.

  • @wolfsrule100 I'll bug whoever I please. :P I have a life and a very good one. I have 4 great horses, a nice house, awesome friends, an insanely epic riding career, and too many more nice things in my life that I enjoy and take care of on a day-to-day basis. So yeah... I'd say I have a life and a busy one at that!

  • @JumpingPerfection121 wow complain that you have 4 horses? that your busy I WOULD DIE TO HAVE ONE HORSE!

  • @wolfsrule100 I didn't complain?

lololol. Yeah I'm busy. Busy with my horses. Most people would. I am selling one of them.

  • @JumpingPerfection121 aw thats sad you have to sell one but i cannot buy it im to poor not enough land my world of horses conisists of a suprise trail ride sometimes but manily youtube videos

  • @wolfsrule100 The horse I'm selling is a bit wild anyways. She loves to go fast and won't slow down for anything.

Well I really hope you get to ride some. Horses are a wonderful part of life everyone should enjoy. :-D

  • @JumpingPerfection121 LOL and thanks when im on a horse all my worries just melt away..

  • @wolfsrule100 If you know anything about the bond between this man and this horse you wouldn't think so foolishly.

  • @SkatesNSaddles Um that comment was posted 8 months ago and i did not know much then i KNOW BETTER NOW so go troll on someone else

  • I <3 Henny :)

  • WOW! What a spectacular video! Thank you Peter and Henny for allowing me the opportunity to see this prestigeous event! Wish I could have been able to go in person! Best Wishes for your future competitions! :)

  • This was soo cool! When i saw the jump with the tree in the middle of it i couldnt believe that was a jump! great job! :)

  • This is just so amazing to watch! Apart from truely cacking my pants at the size and technicality of the fences I'm blown away by the fantastic partnership between these two! Horse looks so confident in his job even with the slight blurb! It gives us mere morals a real insight into a rider who appears to really work with the horse rather than simply dictate! Fab.

  • WOW! This video is awesome! I didn't realize until I was half through the video that my body was literary going with the motions of Henny like I was jumping and galloping with him sitting on my sofa! Again Awesome!!!

  • HENNY !!!!! You rule sweetheartface . Wow ,

  • alter lösch nicht mein kommentar. das video is scheisse!!!!!!!!!!! get a life noob

  • i LOVE that his little ear flicks back over every single fence, like "that was okay? we still good? OKAY LET'S GO!!"

  • absolutely fabulous. Noticed the link in horse and rider magazine and just had to watch it!

  • this is great! And such a happy horse!! HIs ears were up the whole way!!! I want to do this next time i compete.. Great Idea!!!!

  • heyhenny!!!!!!

i wonder if it was really that windy for the horse and rider?

  • HENNY!!!!!

  • Fälttävlan verkar oerhört kul och spännande. Mycket crossåka och friåkning. Skulle man bara kunna andas i närheten av maskinerna hade man nog hamnat där förr eller senare:)

  • thanks for the upload:") amazing

  • Run Henny Run!!!!

  • REALLY AMAZING.. !!!! Great!! I'm a fan, now!

  • whoa, awesome!!!

  • How far was this cross-country run?

  • @WhiteCamry 6400mtrs i think

  • hey, I also rode in Kentucky...but Dressage ;)

It´s really impressing what you do with your fantastic horse Henny. I wish you all the best for the upcoming competitions.

Horses give us so much! Go on like this, this vid really shows that you love your horse and that YOU are the person Henny trusts in.

    Greetings form Luxembourg

    Gaston Chelius

  • I'm not even an equestrian and I love this video! Best of luck to Peter and Henny and hopes for his continued improvement in dressage.

  • I loved this so much if my horse was this enthusiastic i would love it. Henny is so cute with his ears pricked up the whole time, i loved it so much i watch over and over it just gets better and better. Good luck to you with your upcoming events tell Henny "good boy!"

  • Goosebumps and tears in my eyes. The horses ears pricked and reacting at every movement of his rider, still fresh at the finish after 12 minutes. Very impressive!

Thank you very much for sharing.

  • WOW! That was amazing, what a fantastic combination the two of you are! No doubt will be seeing you and Henny at London!

  • Hi Peter, Thanks for clarifying what happened at 26A. I was also curious, as the helmet cam perspective doesn't give a "macro" view of the course. What a fantastic ride. I love all of your videos with your amazing horse, Henny. You guys are a great team!!! I'll never ride a course this bit, but it's sure fun to "ride" with you and Henny!

  • Thank you for putting this up. After walking the course and watching everyone go, it was amazing to see it from this perspective.

  • Thank you so much for putting this up! What a wonderful boy!

  • så sjuuktfränt

  • what does he say after he lands from each jump?

  • @xNoKiddingx he says Henny!!! or GooBoy, which is what I used to say to my jumper, Breeze.

  • Wow! This whole video is amazing!!

  • Marvellous ! I am shattered just having watched it ! Well ridden and well run Henny

  • veeery nice, :D

  • Peter, awesome ride and thank you for sharing so the rest of us who will never be able to ride at such levels can enjoy virtually :) Henny's fantastic too. Amazing conditioning you two have to get safely and effectively through such a grueling course. Bravo!

  • fantastic round! Its great to see the rider showing the horse which fence to jump from this view, can really understand how much of a partnership is needed! x

I have always wanted to know what it would look like to jump an awesome course like that . Of course it is nothing compared to being on a horse but at least I got to dream. : )

  • Most amazing footage I have ever seen...great job and cool cam! Thanks for doing this and looking straight and up the whole ride! Ha!

  • Fabulous! Thanks so much for sharing your ride with us.

  • this is so cool!

  • Okay, I just read the info on the "Run Henny Run" Facebook page, and I got a little misty eyed -- because watching this helmet cam was very scary to me -- people right on the boundary line, weird jumps. I can't believe that Henny started out where he did with you and has come so very far -- AMAZING -- this story needs a book / movie deal!!!

  • there's so much galloping, is there a difference since they stopped doing roads and tracks?

  • Wow...that was fantastic....very well done...I'm all puffed out now lol

  • Peter and Henny, I'm a fan! Great job. run Henny run

  • This is really awesome to watch! Great ride and awesome horse! Love the encouragement from rider to horse.

  • This is really awesome to watch! Great ride and awesome horse! Love the encouragement from rider to horse.

  • what an amazing video, love the horses ears always flicking forwards and backwards waiting for commands and his riders voice, how sweet, and what a lovely horse, well done to you both.

  • wow! Cool! I feel like I myself rode this cross-country.

  • Wow, incredible ! What a beautiful horse and skilled rider, we really enjoyed watching this, thanks for posting !

  • Whew! What a Ride!!!

  • Such an awesome video!! Horse looks like he loves what hes doing and why wouldn't he looks like his rider pats him throughout the course and afterwards awesome to see that!

  • This is so much fun! I ride slowly & only jumped once accidently. It was a baby jump.

  • Run Henny!!!

  • WOW you and your team do an amazing job untacking so fast. haha. looked like you jumped off as he was still trotting up. congrats peter and henny on such a great round

  • Thanks - that was awesome - I get tired after 5 minutes! That's so cool how Henny flicks his ear back often to check on you Peter! How did Henny pull up after that run? What did you do for him after the ride to help him recover?

  • That is so awesome, an amazing way to watch a WEG cross country round! Thank you so much for posting this!

  • Why does the camera no move??

  • @xDD08 It's attached to his helmet so moves with his head.

  • Absolutely AWESOME!!! There's nothing like the view through the horse's ears.

  • WOW, WOW, WOW! You've given us a look from the best seat in the house! Thank you so much!

  • Love that horse and ride, great job!!!

  • wicked ! Henny you are a star and peter thanks for sharing awesome!

  • How was the camera staying so still?????

  • @gratisrocks177 Well he isn't holding it, it's a helmet cam (as the name of the video says), it is moving, when his head moves.

  • This is awesome, thank you.

  • Thanks soo much for sharing, gave me goosebumps and moist eyes. Fantastic ride :-)))

Also this really really shows just how long a 4 star cross really is.

  • Thanks for sharing, very impressing!

  • This is great. It's so obvious that Henny tries his heart out for you–and what a positive, supporting ride on your part!!!

  • whats at the left side of the screen?

  • @Sister324 the green? that would be the helmet cover....

  • Love the war cry when he's doing well - brilliant!

  • Beautiful ride to watch via the helmet cam. You two are some pair!

  • This is the first time I've watched one of your helmet-cam videos, and it was well worth it! Henny's obvious concentration on the job and you are awesome, he still had his ears pricked up like he was ready to keep going at the finish. Wonderful experience and thank you for sharing it!

  • <3 love it <3 such a great partnership!

  • Can't thank you enough for posting these Helmet Cam videos. Such an absolute thrill for a poor shmuck like me who won't jump over 2 ft! Just amazing to watch and feel like I'm riding the course. You are AWESOME!!

  • how many hands is henny and what breed

  • what a great partnership - absolutely love it!!!!!! Don't know who was having more fun - the rider or the horse|!

  • this is incredible!

  • I LOVED wathing Henny's ears throught the ride! Fun seeing the communication! Great ride Peter and Henny!

  • @Creznic I was watching his ears too...love how Henny perked his ears some but always checked back for the rider. Listening so intently!

  • Wow. Just wow Peter! We sat next to some of your supporters during stadium and they were so proud! Well done dude!

  • Brilliant! I loved watching that and so did my 17 month old daughter!!!!

Well done to both of you!

  • Thanks Peter and all at Team Henny. I noticed Henny's plaits for the first time :-)

I still can't believe they let you ride with the helmet cam, I was afraid some kind of Officer Party-Pooper was going to say no! I'm looking forward to buying my DVD

  • Thank you so much for filming & posting your rides!!! I so look forward to seeing the videos when they come out. I was thrilled to find out that you had made the WEG team. Look out London!!! Run Henny Run!

  • Awesome RIDE!! GO Henny!! I hope one day I can have my own ride - and jumps 1/2 that size:) The WEG were awesome! Enjoyed every minute - good luck to you and Henny in the future!

  • Awesome! Thanks so much for sharing these with us!

  • Thanks so much...i

  • What a wonderful horse! Thanks for sharing your ride with us. Give that boy lots of hugs and carrots!

  • THANK YOU PETER for posting this! Wonderful job!

  • Very Cool! Can somebody please tell me what happened at 10:52? Did he go over the wrong jump? (Wondering why he appeared to turn around). Forgive me, I am new to XC and just trying to learn how it works!

  • At 26A he jumped up great and stalled on top, I'm not sure why. We slipped off the far side, I checked to make sure he was OK, trotted around the corner and jumped the option.

  • @patkins1 Ah! Thank you for the explanation! Great ride otherwise!!!!

  • @patkins1 I heard the announcer say you pulled the flag with you? Were you alright? Sound like it hurt. :/ Great job, though! It's such a treat watching you two go. I'd love to clinic with you someday!

  • @patkins1 Wow, great run, great video! I was amazed at how stable the camera was. Did you run the footage through some sort of smooth cam software? I had the pleasure of chasing a riderless thoroughbred down a state highway and threw a golf course last weekend. I would have loved to have your camera strapped on.

  • @polomarey

In many of the hard combinations, the course gives riders options. If you mess up in part a, you can take the slower, but easier option for jump b.

  • Thanks so much for posting, I have a good pic of you coming up a hill and noticed your helmet cam... so I was waiting for this.

Such a shame the aussies had bad luck was hoping they'd whip arse... especially US arse with Boyd and Phillip changing sides (ha ha)

  • Wow...this is awesome that you use the helmet cam, it's so wonderful to ride a top course with two top athletes! Good job by the way!

  • Just wonderful to be able to ride with you over these courses! I'm exhausted.......

  • You two are terrific!!!!!

  • Peter - I feel like a million bucks after watching this! WELL DONE!

  • You two are the best! Thanks for taking the time to share your rides with us!

  • You and Hen are so fabulous together! I can't wait to order some DVDs & a t-shirt! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

  • ABSOLUTELY AWESOME....thank you

  • absolutely brilliant! thanks so much for sharing!

  • Quite simply awesome!

  • Ditto everyone. Fabulous video.

    THANK-YOU for sharing :)

  • Great run, Peter!
