  • 1:36-2:05.; So, Diamond Dallas Page didn't want Triple H to use 'The Diamond Cutter', or, something???... I wasn't really paying much attention.

  • @tthomaselli2 Thanks for letting us all know.

  • @tthomaselli2

Triple H was using a similar move to the diamond cutter. DDP asked if he could not do it since he was older and was just then being pushed. Triple H agreed.

  • 2 people just fell victim to 'The Diamond Cutter'.

  • is there a link to the whole interview?

  • triple h is a gentleman..

i miss ddp. when he was acting happy on his last days on wwe.

  • @DoctorComics Yeah Triple H is awesome!! and yeah i miss seeing that happy, crazy smile on the titantron lol

  • DDP made wrestling fun to watch. It's not the same as it was in the late 90's! DDP is the man!!! BANG!!! Self HIgh Five!!!

  • Thumbs up if you got here from watching the video of Triple H's first finisher- Cutter!!!

  • hhh have good heart tooo

  • That is a nice story to hear about HHH. Everyone talks crap on him but I think he respects pro wrestling more than anyone else does.

  • Comment removed

  • Man I miss watching DDP. I turned Nitro on just to watch him, I STILL have his bone-breaker doll sitting in my room 15 years later.

One of the all time legit badasses of wrasslin'.

  • DPP for hall of fame, too right!!!

  • DDP for Hall of Fame! Bang!

  • Illuminati shit

  • How is DDP not the top comment?

  • ITS ME ITS ME...D...D..P!

  • never watched WCW,,, i once stumble on it on a channel called TNT but it was the last match were Flair was fightin with Sting... it was long... it wasnt good but it wasnt bad either... im just a WWF normal guy who doesnt watch other wrestling show like WCW or TNA...

  • He said sting was doing his move before Bret started doing the sharpshooter? How is that possible? Bret was doing his move back in the late 80's.

  • @seanmorgancr7 So was Sting. Bret even said as much in his book

  • @seanmorgancr7

That's not true at all. Bret in his book stated that Sting did it first.

  • @seanmorgancr7 I believe Sting started in the late 70's

  • Dag, what a class act on HHH's part. I'm no HHH zealot, but that's class. BTW, DDP is the dude!

  • DDP - The Diamond Cutter is always the best, better than any other wrestlers rip off version.

  • HHH is a joke always has been and always will be. Titles mean nothing anymore they are props. Soon we will have people holding titles 30,40,50 times. He is vinny macs son in law.

  • @theenforcer1977 Agreed 100%.

  • @theenforcer1977 the game's the shit...him austin and the rock shit all over these pussies today

  • @rustyshacklfard I do not watch sports entertainment today. For me the best days of wrestling was when I was kid in the 80's. No scripts for promos. No make up and spray my hair with water for promos. Titles meant something. Imo the last good year of wrestling was 1989. Flair/Steamboat. Flair/Funk. Starting in the 90's it all went south.

  • @theenforcer1977 well i can respect thatt but i grew up with autin,HHH, and the rock those were the golden years for me but i see why you like the 80's man

  • well i think HHH should start bustin out the diamond cutter again after all these years.

ddp aint wrestle no more, and trips wrestles once a year so it'd be great for SOMEbody to rock that shit.

  • @DeadIslandTrailers

like randy orton rko-ing 5 different people each week?

  • @SuperJuliusC whats wrong with being a champion there?

  • @jhammaster Nothing! The NWA title has more "tradition" than the WWE toy - But at that time they had already demolished this belt so much that nobody really cared anymore about title reigns in WCW. Which is by the way not DDP`s fault by an meanings.

  • @SuperJuliusC he it's whatever even though i watch the wwe more i think the wcw title still has meaning defunct or not.

  • @jhammaster So they should put every WCW-Champion into the hall of fame?!

Come on: DDP was pushed by his buddy Nash.

The problem I have about this interview simply is that Levesque at that time was already travelling with Nash, Michaels and the other crackheads which were already very influential in the WWF.

Levesque didn`t do it because he was a friend of DDP. He did it to kiss Nash`s ass who is a real life friend of Page...

  • @SuperJuliusC thats where i stop you there because if it was triple h saying i would think about but it's not so i can't agree with you on that

  • @SuperJuliusC

People will agree when I say: DDP ...will be inducted into the WWE HALL OF FAME one day. He recently signed a WWE LEGENDS deal for the WWE. The fact he started as a manager for the AWA, transitioned to a color commentator, then to a rookie wrestler at 35 years old, to being one of the most improved wrestlers of that decade, to a world champion... speaks volumes!

Oh, "You love him, you hate him... you will NEVER forget him!!!" a true quote that pisses haters like you off. Ha!

  • I do not like the name Triple H. Other than that, I cannot say anything bad about him. He's a near-perfect wrestler.

  • Both are legends!!

Btw dude, if you're looking for some awesome wwe 12 content, hit my channel up ;)

  • nah i didn't think u would down talk him or anything..its not ur style bro...shoot videos?? nah...couldn't see u doin any...stay humble!!

  • i got a lot of respct 4 u man wen ever ur in england holla

  • DDP is a class act. This guy is so positive that's it's almost unreal.

  • I've always liked DDP back in the WCW days i used to record nitro every monday if i could. I miss WCW =/

  • I always like hearing DDP talk. He always seems to be such a positive, good person.

  • Imagine if Sting had called Bret to stop using the Sharpshooter ?

  • @Awanish23 I don't think he had to or vice versa IMO Because they started around the same time I think and around the same age plus they were over enough that they could both use it plus like Dallas said they were in different companies so they could just change the name.

  • @beilmandulin actually i'm pretty sure triple h is a couple years younger than page. he was in his mid 20's when he got to wwe after being in wcw for a little bit. page was already in his early 30's if i'm correct so that was like pages last shot. if triple had used the move as his finisher it would've took some of the shine off it no matter who it was. look at the choke slam.

  • @Awanish23 Bret would have told him to fuck off. Bret Innovated the sharpshooter. Its his move. He could ask sting to stop doing the scorpion deathlock though

  • @K1ngCobra09 Sting was using the Scorpion Death Lock before Bret ever started using the move...Konnan had to teach Bret how to do it

  • This was pretty good... i always wondered why he stopped doing it, but that was cool

  • Every internet idiot wants some story about HHH using his evil backstage powers but 99% of people have nothing but good things to say about him .

  • good stuff ddp cheers to a fellow jerseyan

  • Mad respect to the original people's champion. DDP.

  • @igloogenius

If you think del rio paid his dues then YOU'RE the delusional faggot.

  • @AAAnderson002 He's been a pro 11 years and was a huge draw in Mexico so how has he not?

  • @zoso7889

Having a career in another country doesn't entitle him to special privileges in this one so no he hasn't paid his dues. If you wanna be WWE champion you pay your dues in WWE. That's common sense which you seem to lack.

  • @igloogenius

not good enough to be champion you delusional fool.

  • @igloogenius

It don't matter if you're booked strong. all that matters is if you're the right guy to be booked strong and the only way you can be the right guy is by paying your dues. Getting 5 title shots in your first year is not paying your dues you dumbass.

  • @igloogenius

nor is he outstanding you delusional piece of crap.

  • @igloogenius

I don't care whether you take me seriously or not cuz as a wrestling fan you're full of crap.

  • @igloogenius

you accuse me of not wanting to believe in realism and then you make some BS argument about how realism isn't the way for WWE to go. All you do is double-talk cuz you don't know WTF you're talking about.

  • @igloogenius

del rio ain't outstanding you delusional fool.

  • @igloogenius

If he's getting frequent title shots then he is getting special treatment. And since u admit he's the newer guy in the company u just proved me right that he shouldn't be getting pushed ahead of everyone cuz I told u from day one there were other talent that came before him that deserve to be pushed first. Your realistic views are bullsht views cuz WWE shouldn't be pushing del rio ahead of anyone but like the dumb sheep that you are you accept WWE's bullsht way of pushing people.

  • @igloogenius

you're not right and I'm not gonna entertain evidence to a shtty ass kid about something that's so widely known to just about every wrestling fan. The fact that you would deny the existence of fake boos and cheers just makes you the most immature and ignorant wrestling fan on this site. you may call yourself igloogenius but you have the mentality of a 5 year old when you talk about wrestling.

  • @igloogenius

I don't care what their plan is. Del Rio has no business getting any more title shots. I don't care what it does for him cuz nobody should be getting special treatment in the company. As for sheamus and barrett, the company is finally doing exactly what they should've done with them before either of them got any title shots, book them with other midcarders. The company should be doing the same with Del Rio instead of overpushing him like your dumb delusional ass wants them to.

  • @igloogenius

your evidence is garbage because in your own little world of make believe there's no such thing as canned cheers and boos on Smackdown because you think every boo and cheer is real.

  • @igloogenius

Then treat him like a damn midcarder and quit pushing for him to be a main eventer until he pays his damn dues in the company and that means no more damn title shots. Either he gets US or IC title or he gets nothing. Don't be a stubborn ass about it. Wait for him to earn a main event spot and stop being in a rush about it and stop forcing the issue.

  • @igloogenius

And you're still a liar because what Palerlaze and I said about del rio coming out to no crowd reaction on the post-MITB episode of RAW is true and yet you still denied it. Why? cuz it breaks your little heart to be reminded that nobody gives a rat's ass about your precious del rio except u.

  • @igloogenius

I didn't assume anything. Ur own words are the evidence that proves ur a del-rio loving butt-kisser and as usual it's the only evidence uv given cuz u still haven't given any evidence that del rio was over.

  • @igloogenius

You mean igloogenius' logic's worst nightmare cuz your logic is based on favoritism for one guy who didn't even pay his dues to be a main eventer which you ignore because you have the "star player" mentality where you think one guy in the midcard outranks everybody else in the midcard. Deny it and pull out your little random fake appreciations for other midcarders all you want but Palerlaze and I see very clear that you're nothing but a loser who's got a major hard-on for del rio.

  • Just goes to show the IWC is made up of a bunch of ignorant idiots. I don't respect anything they say on their dirt sheets (their bashing of HHH and Cena, their support for Lesnar, sheamus, and del rio's quick push as title contenders). I've argued with a lot of them here on youtube and single-handedly beat them by shooting down all their arguments. Orton used to call himself The Legend Killer well I AAAnderson002 call myself The Internet Wrestling Community's Worst Nightmare.

  • its me its me ddp

  • wait im confused...hhh stopped doing what? the sharp shooter?

  • @dtowndanny214 He stopped using "the Cutter" or RKO !

search "hhh debut match" here in youtube and watch the finisher ... u will know whats this about.

ddp is referring to the sharpshooter was used in both companies wwe and wcw at that time ... bret hart in wwe and sting in wcw !

same would have been the case with "the cutter" if hhh didnt stop using it for ddp.

  • true wrestling fans know that it is brett harts sharpshooter is the original

  • This is wild to me... DDP Talk about HHH and it get 41,000 hits in a week... YOU GUYS must have thought I was Going to Bust his Balls... Ha! Sorry:) I know you didn't tune in to hear me say something Nice about a Guy... :) I have Aways considered a Friend and always will.

    YRG4Life

    DDP

  • @Dallapage Thanks for commenting on the video! Really appreciate it!

  • @TheDXChick WOW how awesome is that you got the real DDP to comment on your video!!!

  • @DarianMartin It's sooo awesome!! Totally made my day when I saw that.

  • @TheDXChick I bet it did it would have made mine too lol

  • @TheDXChick DDP = The real People's Champ!!!!!

  • @AverageAsianMe WRONG, Thats The Rock buddy.

  • @TheDXChick I'm not convinced that's the real DDP commenting on this video until he leaves a video message.

  • @cstring420 Go on the guy's channel. He has over a hundred uploaded videos of himself, and he's mentioned his YouTube channel in interviews as well. It's him.

  • @cstring420 It is him just go onto the youtube page dallapage and watch anyone of the videos on there he is in them himself and also confirms it is him in many them.

  • @Dallapage: I don't know if you're really DDP, but you made WCW, man. And the Triad was pretty fucking awesome.

  • @Dallapage its 2011 D, not 2010 lol, we still love you peoples champ:)

  • @Dallapage I have never seen you bust on somebody. You always seem to have good things to say about people in the wrestling business. You rarely see that with the other guys.

  • @Dallapage are you really ddp? if so man you made groing up in the 90's awsome thanks for the memorys

  • @Dallapage It was a great story of respect between wrestlers :D

  • @Dallapage DDP you sir are a class act and a true treasure in the wrestling business as well as the world. thank you for entertaining us and giving us so many great times through your illustrious career. Yup i marked huge for DDP

    Much respect bro.

    Self High Five!

  • @Dallapage I can't believe I am communicating with you! You were one of my fav ever wrestlers! Please do a Q & A video with some of your fans on youtube! Much respect for all your achievements. Sam

  • @Dallapage Man you are and will always will be one of the top 10 greatest wrestlers of my era in my heart dude bar none!! From your promos, in ring ability, to the diamond cutter. I can never get enough of D....D....P! BAAANG!!

  • @Dallapage it's nice to see you took the time to comment and interact with your fans. I hope you are well DDP and it's nice to hear from you.

  • @Dallapage DDP for hall of fame

  • @marie90 I agree..Ddp not only is one of the most kindest caring people, that you could ever meet, but truly an ambassador for Wrestling and one of its greatest performers of all time.Alot of people remember him only in Wcw,but few remember him in Awa as the Manager of Baad Company-Paul Diamond and Pat Tanaka.Who actually put over the Rockers,a couple of guys we all know well.Ddp doesnt need the Wwe to put him in,he is already a Hall of Famer, but it would be nice for him to be honored.

  • @Dallapage Actually, believe it or not, I didn't expect to hear you talk trash about him. I'm just a fan of interviews. Huge fan of yours and think it's fucking great you comment on other videos involving you.

  • @Dallapage LOl dallas, you're always trickin us, man LOL you know we all love triple H even though everyone has something bad to say about him. We are all marks for every pro wrestler, love em or not, we all still love em.

  • @Dallapage why did you quit, and how bad does it suck to know other wrestlers now can't hang with you,or your character

  • @Dallapage

are you ever coming back to wrestling ??? your awesome wrestler

  • @Dallapage

LOL I was just about to leave a comment saying "I really thought he was gonna shit on Triple H"

  • @Dallapage YOU ARE GOD!!!! THE BEST WRESTLER EVER!!!!!! DDP 4 LIFE!!!!

  • @Dallapage DDP you rule man, my favorite wrestler of all time! Self High Five!

  • @Dallapage there are rumors about you coming back to wrestling, is it true?

because if it is I'm gonna start watching wrestling again!

  • ill always remember the match DDP had with Goldberg. it was awesome. DDP was a great technical wrestler

  • fuck off triple always has a hidden agendea

  • From all I've seen of Triple H outside of his character, I've always perceived him to be a really nice, classy guy.

  • Thats pretty cool of Trip H, especiaslly from Diamond Dallas.

  • i don't get it why would triple h give up his spot for someone else and make himself less, quarterbacks don't step aside for the new draft pick, actors don't stop acting when there 40 to "give someone else a shot" and i think loosing to people "sometimes less dserving orton,rock,---but loosing to hogan (the title) benoit and then carrying Benoit on the mic during his title run may not been stepping aside but showed class giving someone who paid dues for years.. and as everyone says he calls it

  • @xionj23 it's about doing whats best for the business, not whats best for him. the wwf/wwe was always at it's best when it had 6-7 potential champions, instead of 3-4. When you have a roster full of guys who can get it done you push everybody, everybody makes tons of money from t-shirts etc.... and everybody becomes a fan favorite. that's what was great about the attitude era and what's sorely missing now.

  • wow thats definatly class he could of just said f off

  • Yes HHH is a legend in the making, DDP already is legend to me, whether its WCW or not

  • Hmmmm. I'm actually very surprised considering how much DDP got screwed over during his run in WWE by being the Undertaker's bitch and then doing the whole motivational speaker gimmick. Oh well. Still such a shame that DDP didn't get a much bigger and better push in the WWE.

  • @DeadmanInc336 at least he got to spin it and actually become a motivation speaker/health guru

  • @DeadmanInc336 ..he couldn't-too many injuries. he had his run.

  • What happened was the OverExposure of HHH back in 2002 - 2006 which lead people getting sick of seeing him which lead to fans getting sick of him, and even though he was the main focus people didn't care bout him doing good you just had wrestlers talking about who's push he gave the axe to.

  • Hear so many shit stories about HHH... but when stories like this one come out it just proves that theyre far of the mark when ripping HHH.. Sounds like a top bloke!

  • thats whats up HHH KEEPS IT REAL

  • Diamond Cutter was way before the stunner and RKO?!

  • @Hartebreaker84 yeah ofcourse!!

  • @Hartebreaker84 um pay attention noone said it wasnt dont comment if ur not gonna pay attention to video

  • Sh-lup!

  • @Hartebreaker84 not before the stunner probly around the same time stone cold in 97 and ddp in i dont know

  • @BC2k809 I remember him doing it in 1996 HHH it was his first finishing move so probably was DDP's near original move it was way before the RKO anyway!

  • hhh is an excellent worker and is good on the mic, he put loads of wrestlers over. If hes kissed vince butt a few times, so what, hbk did and bret did to. I got a new found respect for the game.

  • HHH respected DDP very much

  • I'm surprised HHH didn't tell DDP to kiss his ass, considering how HHH left WCW.

  • randy ordan took his move

  • @outragefanpage NO YOU GOT IT ALL WRONG.

TRIPLE H INFLUENCED HIM TO USE IT AFTER HHH RETIRED IT

  • @outragefanpage no he tweeked it by jumping just ddp tweaked the ace crusher. it was fair

  • @outragefanpage didnt you listen what DDP said?

He said The RKO is diffrent to the Dimond Cutter :/

  • Awesome. I wonder if HHH and DDP are still cool.

  • Now I see why all the former wrestlers talks about HHH been treated like a king well maybe is because he is married to a business owner's daughter lol!

  • DDP is a great actor/performer/wrestler/entertainer.. .

  • Triple H used the "Diamond Cutter" in his first WWE match and called it the pedigree but thats why he changed it. But DDP brought up a good point, did Bret Hart steal the scorpion Deathlock from Sting and just called it the Sharpshooter?

  • @MrKing8050 No. Watch Bret Hart's DVD and you'll see where he tells the story on how he learned the Sharpshooter. Pat Patterson told him about that submission hold, and suggested to use it as his finisher. Hart didn't know how it was applied, and Konnan the mexican wrestler taught him how.

  • @MrKing8050 Doesn't Bret use his left leg and Sting his right leg? Not much of a difference, but they're not completely the same.

  • @m1k38706 oh come onnn

  • you know the funny thing is that i havnt heard anyone other than scott steiner burry hhh on interviews...

  • @zhesandman The only one that i have heard bury HHH that even comes close is probably Rodd Dogg and Billy Gunn. I know there have been others but those two ripped him apart.

  • @TheDXChick Where Triple H actually say good stuff about hem...(DX book)

  • @TheDXChick ...and of course Chyna, but she rips Stephanie apart more than Triple H, and maybe rightfully so...LOL

  • @MSH786 yea, she rips steph more than Triple H

  • @MSH786 why rightfully so...??

  • @TheDXChick y would billy gunn and rodd dogg burry him? thought they were freinds i know xpac wouldent say anything bad

  • @yosonimbord they completely buried him in their shoot..youtube.com/watch?v=iiD3_lPT0fE

i don't think they are friends.

X-pac has never said anything bad about HHH, they are very close

  • @TheDXChick Sean would NEVER say ANYTHING whatsoever about Trips OR Vince for that matter because he pretty much owe them his very life... Triple H was tthere for him when his personal life was a mess because of his final split up with Chyna and also when he was totally fucked up because of drugs... and Vince fully paid for his rehab out of his own pocket... so Triple H and Vince without a doubt saved X-pac`s life...

  • @TheDXChick I think at one time they might have been, but had a fall out due to backstage politics. But that's just my guess.

  • @ilikethecoke I think that's exactly what happened.

  • @zhesandman Bret Hart has *a lot*

  • @Lewis1711 bret hart doesnt have anything to say about hhhs ability, he was more pissed off at him over the montreal screwjob.

  • @Lewis1711 Bret used to a while ago but he has backed off since returning to the company.

  • ddp "triple h stopped doing it when he didnt have to"

    so fuck u hhh haters

  • @dudeme12 Let us not act like DDP wasn't BUDDIES with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. If HHH stooped doing it, it's cause DDP knew the right people. Who the fuck do you think DDP probably got in contact with to ask HHH anyways?

  • @ABSINTHE2012 so what ur saying is ddp threatened hhh to do it???

and hhh obeyed because ddp knew nash and scott hall??

do u know how stupid that sounds??

first of all wrestlers , no matter how they friendly they are to each other dont interfere into each others career decisions.... that would be unethical!!

besides nash or scott hall were nothing back then in 95 ..... they were rising fan favourites!! hhh stopped because ddp requested him too!!

    dont bring stupid pointless arguments!!

  • @ABSINTHE2012 Triple H and DDP get along. Not like they didn't know each other. HHH was in WCW before as well.

  • The Diamond Cutter was one of the coolest moves in wrestling at the time. I think it's interesting that in WrestleMania 19 for the GameCube, it says Randy Orton's finisher is the Diamond Cutter. It's OK. I like both moves (the Diamond Cutter and RKO). Does anyone else remember that match in WCW when DDP picked up Eddie Guerrero for a powerbomb and then flipped it into a Diamond Cutter? I think that was my favorite variation of the move. He could hit it in many different ways.

  • And that's...a GOOD thing!

  • Actually is good to hear a good story about HHH.

  • @SuperRichardNixon Really. I've heard nothing but good things about HHH. Of course I don't really keep up with this stuff like I did in the old days.

  • @SuperRichardNixon : Well, above all else one constant I've heard about Triple H is that he is sensible. DDP had a good point. Trips didn't need that move to get over, and the Pedigree worked out better for him as a finisher because that move has become his own iconic-patented move.

  • @SuperRichardNixon iv never heard a bad story bout him, is there some about? id like to see them lol

  • @SuperRichardNixon

Of course this story was about when he was 24 years old..before he made the connections backstage...so that's why it's good lol
