  • I dont get it, that was not good and the title made it worse.

  • I didn't even realize this was a commercial......great job

  • PERFECT! The song at the end is the clencher. It's "Rhapsody in Blue" by Gershwin, for anyone wanting to look it up.

  • Frederator sent me here, they said there were biscuits.

  • Jamie Caliri, you have done it again... amazing artwork, beautiful story. It doesn't even seem like an ad, seems more like it should be a stop-motion short.

  • This is still nice...I like the heart and when it flys by a little bird back to her husband. Thats nice..

  • I can't believe that they're replacing this with the Continental ping-pong ball branding. Sad times...

  • but she's too skinny to fly

  • Having worked as a consultant on this commercial and having served 22 years with United, I can tell you that the gist of this commercial was not aimed directly at our airline. This commercial was made to gather the "feelings" of all who chose to fly with us. The apprehension of leaving home, the pride the "woman" felt in her success, and the relief of coming back home to her supportive husband all tied together in our campaign at the time "its time to fly".

  • Bye bye honey...

OH MAH GAAAWD FUCKING HUGE ASTEROID NOOOOOOOO *BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*.

Eh, United is a good airline. nice commercial ^^

  • wow amazing ad.

  • Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

    (1) Why do we love flying?

    (2) Why do we feel more happy and optimistic when watching airlines' TV commercial?

    (3) Why does flying is an representation of culture diversity?

    (4) Why do we think that aerospace service and industry are representations of leadership and "working together"?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  • @applesweeter

I'll give you an answer to your question.

Becaue every bit of information that we recieve via everything compose our world-view, and the most part of it we get from stupid TV from the birth. We see something, we use or imitate it, our cloth style, hobbies etc.

Another good example of this influence is growing number of homosexual relationships. Because media approve.

Great piece of art, wish it wouldn't be an ad

  • this ad has got to be one of the best ;) .

  • This woman... she looks like she's the human version of Spirit's Mother. (Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmeron)

  • I love this ad.

  • All though I do not like this series/ad campaign, this is decent. Still don't see how it relates to flying, but, hey, people like it.

  • @juanpablofx It doesn't directly relate to flying per-sey, It directly relates to what many business travelers men, and women both, go through every time they have to leave home. It connects with them, and shows United can't fix feeling homesick, but we can make your travel all the easier.

  • @juanpablofx It depicts life's journeys and how United can take you there....

  • I luvvvv this commercial.

  • Whoever came up with United's latest ad campaign is a genius.

  • What the hell is the son at the end

  • There's no Son.

  • haha, very funny! the song is Rhapsody in Blue, by Gerswhin. It is in iTunes, and the version i recommend is the original 1924

  • I'd like to know what the song played up until 0:45 is as well. I don't think it's Rhapsody in Blue.

  • It's the prelude to the signature melody of Rhapsody in Blue.

  • Trivers and Myers composed it for the commercial.

  • fav song of all time

  • 0:45 gives me the chills

  • yeah same here, like the first time i saw it

    great commercial

  • Same here. Rhapsody in Blue always gives me chills, but especially if it's in a United commercial.

    Epic. Just epic.

  • It's beautiful. Congrats on the Annie Award!

  • wow.. thats such a neat commercial!

  • great commercial for my favorite airline.

  • This is a nice comercial...The song is really nice

  • whats the song in it before rhapsody in blue?

  • The commercial really is genius in all aspects...
