I have a 2001 Honda 500 Rub. and a 2005 Suzuki KQ 700 both have ITP Mudlite Tires. Both handles mud great. But ATV to ATV, my Honda handles better on down hill grades & shifts smooth. My Suzuki looks great, but belt driven and don't hold back good on down hill grades. I am thinking about buying a side by side. Which one do you all think is the best?

My "opinion", I know everyone has different ones, I only have experience with a few. The most powerful is the Artic Cat 1000, I never road one, but thats what I here. Polaris RzR S is very powerful and sporty, very fun to drive. The new Polaris Ranger 800 is very fast, although more of a work/hunting vehicle, is very fun. Also very smooth riding with large bed for carrying supplies. Not much slower than the RZR S. its a great all around vehicle.

Thanks, I was just reading about the Honda Big Red. It's not belt driven so that's a plus. I was looking at the Ranger xp and hd. I'm going to take my time and check around. Thanks for the info

Rhino for me is too narrow and top heavy but are a little faster than the ranger 700s. Dont know anything about the others to comment on.

I have an 08 ranger xp and put it through hell! I have 28 inch swamp lites and have flipped it completely over! Had to replace the entire roll cage and the front bumper Had passenger No injurys. never had a belt issue with heavy mudding, trailor towing, and trial riding. Now have a Turbo on it with over 100 miles of hard racing and muddin with same belt all with 28 inch tall tires. Thats 79 hp! Belt drive is not as bad as people say you just have to use your head.

It's good to hear about the belt. I like the Ranger XP and HD. I also like the Big Red. I'm going to sell my Honda 500 and Suzuki 700efi when I get ready to buy a side by side. I sure don't need 3 ATV's. Thank you for your feed back.

Speed wasnt an issue when I bought mine either, wanted dependality, lots of room, and comfort. Was going to get a rzr for speed but wife wouldnt let. After I flipped ranger she gave up. So I put turbo and now can beat RZR S.!!!

i like both the 800 polaris' and the 700 grizzly like how the grizzly has 2wd, honda 4wd, and locked in 4wd, however i do agree with your list except the old polaris' wernt for shit. they barely run now.

also notice how your polaris wasn't getting out of the hole at the begining.. then you had to go cut the clip because it either took a really long time to get out or didn't get out period.. and you just didn't want people to see... we don't have anything against that honda.. seeing that's a 400/420 and your xp is 850... although it it had to get winched out.. atlaest it made it all the way through the pit.

First I have nothin against any bike. Especialy if the driver Can drivin it! Second, The Honda has 28s and the only way it made it all the way through is because a Polaris was pulling it. Third, the 850 was bone stock tires, brand new, and had never been to that hole before. That was the first time it had seen the mud and that hole, he wasnt sure how deep it was. And yes the Ranger did pull him out also. I did not get that on tape. I taped the Honda because of the place they hooked the strap.

i have a 750 brute with a hmf and 28 mudlites and it has 1232 miles on it and as long as you keep up the service on them they will be ok and it wont blow up unless u stay in water all the time with it.

hey i have one and its awesome. I have a polaris 3500 lb winch with a brush guard and 27" mudlite XTR's man its a beast ill tell you. Get one you wont regret it but its kinda pricy
