• The daughter is good looking.

If you ever read this, please send me a private message, we'll be REAL happy together. Have some kids and live together. Make sure you dad's will is sorted out before you message me though...

  • jaki krzyk prowadzącego że wygrał

  • Just seen a repeat of his whole run and he asked for help at £1,000 and had used ALL his lifelines by £32,000 so he answered the final FIVE questions without assistance.

    Very brave and charming Guy.

Very much "Old Skool" English and I am delighted for him and his kids, as they seemed really well balanced.

    FANTASTIC !:)

  • Very happy for him. The only thing that disappoints me about Britain's Million Dollar winners is the crowd just claps after a couple seconds of cheering. The crowd goes ballistic here in the States. But nonetheless mega congrats. Would love to see his complete run.

  • @AlecBoy006V2

Just seen a repeat of his whole run and he asked for help at £1,000 and had used ALL his lifelines by £32,000 so he answered the final FIVE questions without assistance.

  • @Isleofskye I got that on tape still. that was great

  • @mert1975 Actually they go for a break in the studio aswell so they do have to wait around.

  • i think he's a genius! he's been in grand finals on 15 to 1 & mastermind so he had the craft to win it, he just had to get thru fastest finger 1st in truth

  • is there a video on his full run?

  • I think there should be a British version of Minute to Win It with the same money tree as in America and Australia. I think Chris would be a great host for that version since this would be another show where he would give away £1,000,000.

  • There needs to be a million pound tornament of ten~!

  • just make sure you dont get mixed up with charles ingram and ingram wilcox

  • BEST MAN

  • that commercial break is really stupid.

Everyone would have known the answers by the time it ended.

  • That was Major Charles Ingram in 2001

    SCUMBAG

  • At 1:18 i'd mutter "Don't remind me."

  • It seems like all of the million dollar winners are quiet and humble :)

  • British Millionaire does not have to wait until 2012 for a winner; like America had to wait six years between Nancy Christy and Sam Murray. And in anticipation, 2012 will see a British epic failure much like Ken Basin.

  • I used to live in the same building as Ingram around the time when WWTBAM had just started in the UK and I remember him incessantly phoning the hotline to get on the show.

It was a long time coming before he ever got his first callback and I remember him kicking himself because he messed up. Then there was the time he got on, but wasn't fast enough to be the playing contestant.

I've lost contact with Ingram over the years and have only just found out he won... brilliant! Bloomin' brilliant!

  • Really amiable and gentle person

  • noooooooooooooo i hate the clock

  • What a name coincidence!!!

  • 3:16 what a long, cliffhanging break.

  • At least this Ingram didn't cheat and played honestly.

  • still, the best winner ever!

  • the last millionaire?

  • yeah u did mis robet brydges lol charles ingram haha always makes me laugh

  • Between Charles ingram and Pat Gibson was Robert Brydges.

  • this is the only £million win i've seen happen live.

  • no he is the fifth guy to win it over here - and so far the latest

  • Nope its the 5th , Judith Keppel was first to win the million. You could say in effect its the 6th of course you don't count the infamous Charles Ingram!

  • Nope, first British winner was Judith Keppel. From what I've heard she is related to the Royal family in some way..I forgot now how she's related.

  • @gameshowguy2000

    It's very distant. From wikipedia:

Judith is the granddaughter of Walter, 9th Earl of Albemarle. Her great-grandfather, the 8th Earl was brother-in-law of Alice Keppel, the mistress of King Edward VII and was the great-uncle of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. The Duchess of Cornwall is therefore her third cousin.

  • Considering that "Who wants to be a millionaire" started in Britian I know at least 5 people have won before him.

  • no. judith keppel in 2000.

  • that was my guess lol

  • Nope, no taxes in the UK.

  • Would he know the next question?

  • 4:10 it sounds he was saying "JACK-POT!"

  • No, he was saying "Jack, Don (or Bob?), Laura, come on down!"

  • "Jack, come on, Laura, come down, come on!" is what he said.

  • Host excited more than him xP

  • Weird, I remember this for some reason. The answer that is.

  • i like how chris sais cockell :P

  • I always find it amusing that the studio audience act disappointed when Chris goes to a break. The show isn't recorded live so it's not as if they are left waiting around for a few minutes.

  • yh it isnt live but ive seen a bit of behind the scene work

they still wait for a few mins

  • You are wrong, they do take a short break in filming.

  • @mert1875 yes, they are, the filming of one episode takes 3 hours and the breaks are real, it's just that the sequence you see on TV is much shorter as it cuts out sections where people go to the loo or where things are retaken- the advert breaks are longer than they seem to viewers in fact!

  • @mert1875 They do stop filming for a few moments

  • I love the part at 2:50 :D

  • he strikes the gong *grin*

  • Just watched this, I thought the man was insane at first

Considering he had no lifelines and went from 125k - 1 million while being so sure.

  • Charles Ingram, if I'm right, was in the British Army? (I knew he was in some branch of the armed forces at the time of his "win").

  • Gosh ... Chris was more excited than Ingram! You could SEE his adrenaline before he revealed the answer!

  • Charles Ingram was the one who cheated in 2001 not this Ingram this was in 2006

  • at least he didn't cheat like the other ingram did.

  • Whoever gave me a -1, I was talking about Charles Ingram, not Ingram Wilcox! I'm only being honest, and I don't appreciate this at all. Somebodyisfit had the nerve to talk about Nancy Christy, well look at Charles Ingram! Ingram Wilcox is cool, Charles Ingram deserves to be jailed! Whoever gave me the -1 needs to know facts before you go rating!!

  • every time when they go for a break before million pound/dollar answer is reviewed, it's a sign that the contestant got the question right.

  • This guy is so cool

  • Talking to somebodyisfit, btw, forgot to click "reply".

  • And what do you call Charles Ingram's final question? 1 with 100 zeroes? Duh, cheese? Nancy Christy had no lifelines since her $16,000 question, and there have been more eleven million dollar winners in the U.S., and five in the UK. That's more than double. Who's stupid? And Millionaire originated in Britain, but the first winner was in the U.S.! Imagine that.

  • ROFL the host is happier than the guy who won!!!

  • this guy was on fastest finger like 6 times before this time...good way to end that run eh? £1,000,000. not bad lol

  • Defenitely deserved it if youve read his past

  • No, that was Charles Ingram. This is another guy who genuinely won it, and just happens to also have Ingram in his name, causing the confusion.

  • @hicksmcb yep

  • Amazing ...

I Think he knew the answer from the start

  • That's one lucky guy, good for him :)

  • chris going a bit ott.... "YES! ILOVE YOU!OH MY GOD!" ... can you say gay?

    :S lol!

  • The host looks happier than the winner.

  • My favourite winner ever, if I remember right he had no life lines from 64,000 up or something. Unbelievable.

  • That's nothing. On the American version, Joe Trela used his last lifelines at $32K, and Nancy Christy (last American winner) used her last at the $8,000 question.

  • SoooBlue sucks. And no, I'm not American.

  • I wish somebody could post his whole run. He was mellow, but maybe he's just a quiet man.

  • thats 2 million dollars to america. chris did the WON ONE MILLION POUNDS!!!!!!! good lol

  • *cough*

  • chris is happier then the other ingram !

  • What a horrible break! :)

  • lol worst commercial break in television history

  • WTF they never break when someone says final answer here in Canada.

  • Tarrant shouldn't piss about with a break when a man could potentially lose almost half a million quid.

  • when is someone going to win one millon this was in 2006 hope it will get won in 2008

  • Hooray for Ingram!

  • This bloke was a clever cloggs to answer this

  • this man deserves it thoroughly..but it's a pity he shares da same name as da fraud winner..

  • My thoughts exactly!! XD

  • It sort of sends shivers down ur spine when u hear the name Ingram with Millionaire, but this Ingram is fantastic! He truly deserves the Million quid, not like that cheat.

  • indeed

  • absolutely

  • he sure deserves it

  • I agree with the last post. Whoever says its a fix has only one brain cell. I used to work with Ingram and it could not have gone to a nicer chap. He was always winning departmental quizes, and of course was runner up to Master Mind. He did not cough once and has more brain power than the lot of you put together.

  • well he's my best friend dad and i've met him before and he's a swell guy so THERE!

  • It's important to remember he's been on a lot of gameshows over the years, which he has done quite well on, as well as being an al round gameshow lover. Therefore, he's probably just all used to it, as well as his family.

  • The game-host is indeed ten times more enthousiastic.... however, I think I would react also like this man if I'd win the million. Depends on your character.

  • So just because Ingram doesn't react exactly the way that you personally would, that's suddenly fishy? Please...

They say that people grieve in different ways. People also celebrate in different ways. If Ingram's more introverted, he wouldn't be prone to jumping about and screaming - and neither would I, for that matter.

  • i remember watching this in september he was sooooo clever and he deserved to win

  • this show originated in britain, in the studios down the road from where i live

  • Errm, isn't it a Sin to spam?

  • Blimey! Religious spam. That's a new one on me!

  • What an asshole. You might have won... let's take the break!

  • It's always been that way here, on all shows.

  • This was a very exciting clip to watch. I don't live in Australia, but really enjoyed watching this clip!!

  • Just so you know, this is a clip of Millionaire UK, not Australia, not that there is much of a difference. I have to agree with you, it is exciting to watch.

  • A bit of background to this point. Ingram had worked his wa up to £500,000 on the previous show when the klaxon goes off to end the show. He returned and after a rather lenghtly chat with Chris (Tarrant, the host) he faces the question.

How did you get the ad break sting to go in and out so smoothly?

  • I've looked at some of the clips from Millionaire around the world on youtube and IMO Chris Tarrant is still the king of the quizmasters. It's still a huge primetime attraction every Saturday night. (A close second is Eddie "Lock it in" McGuire.

  • No Sound?

  • What do you mean No Sound?

The sound on the video works fine for me.

  • Oh. I first thought there was no sound.

  • nice vid thanks for puttin it up

  • Is this the guy who was accused of cheating by having an accomplice cough at the right answer?

  • No, the guy who was accused of cheating was called Charles Ingram, so it is easy to mix the two up.

  • Do you suppose the answer to his half million pound question is Crater Lake? Is it Crater Lake? It's the deepest lake I can think of so it must be Crater Lake.

  • What's the £500,000 question?

  • It was "What is the deepest lake in the world?" I think.

  • his first name is my surname his surname is my uncles surname wow i think that deserves some of his money

  • Wow, he did rather amazingly. Well done to him.

Funnily enough, his name is the surname of the Major convicted of cheating his way to the million. Notice Tarrant's careful choice use of words - "the fifth person to go home with a million". He's the sixth to answer all 15 questions correctly. Damn, I want to see the Major's show...

  • magnificent performance by him!!! Some of the questions asked were damn hard, although admittedly i knew the answer to the £500,000 question about the deepest lake (coz i heard it on another quiz show), but the rest of the big money questions were extremely difficult. WELL PLAYED to him.

  • hes my favourite contestant on millionaire, by chance i found myself watching the show when I hardly ever watch it and I was attached by Ingram risking it from 8k upwards. amazing.
