as simple as the intro riff sounds ( one repetitive open e string over and over) it took me a while to get it down perfect, the picking technique is kinda tricky, to go back and forth between 4 slow notes followed by the 8 fast ones. thats the easiest way i can defend the integrity of the song while describing it to any non guitar player who says its effortless and simple to do ...

@NickChim I dunno, Megadeth is pretty great and all, but I think he might be onto something about that riff. It's kinda...as generic as it gets. In fact, if you ever check out a video series on here called "Metal That Sounds Like Other Metal" (that is to say, a compilation of instances in music where riffs and such are repeated between songs), this is one song that shows up the most. I don't mind the song, but that riff has to be one of the most unoriginal moments in Megadeth history.

The latter would also end up on the following album "The World Needs a Hero", but "Kill the King" was never on an actual official album.
