  • Take a min bitch.... damn!

  • I don't know the procedures of the house but does everyone speak up at the same time damn the woman is trying to say something and with the numbers of other races in there I think its fair to say.....WOW!

  • Get an education about Congress before you leave comments about it.

  • I am as much a fan of Michael Jackson's as anyone else. Congress, however spends time on items that are not their domain. What happened to the moment of silence for Don Knotts, Elvis, Sammy Davis, Jr., or Louis Armstrong? Why the involvement with baseball contracts? Show me where that's Congress' responsibility. Not appropriate for our lawmakers.

  • lol You are going pretty far back in time with some of those names aren't you? Congressional conduct was different.

A moment of silence is actually nothing.

an official honor by Congress is far more weighty, this is something they afforded a domestic actor like Paul Newman hardly even known outside of the United States, but not the most globally impactful entertainment figure of the 20th century.

  • Yes, you're right. Mike deserved it. Glad about Paul Newman, too.

  • They can't give a moment of silence for everyone, but someone on the level of Michael Jackson deserves it.

  • This isn't the first time Congress has done this, so big deal.
