I think this song sums up love pretty much spot on, nail on the head perfect. Because on a cognitive level its quite hindering to be in love with somebody, hense why its described as cancer, an infection, and/or a problem with peripheral vision. E.g something blocking you from thinking properly.

Second thought, does anybody here think 'the mole' at the end of the song is a double entendre between melanoma and a mole his wife has? I just think it makes sense lol.
