Sometimes it's bad that animals are strong fighters, because they don't show any signs of illness, which affects them in the long run, because. By the time you get him/her to the vet, the signs are too far into the illness to be cured. ):

This can be done by sharing food dishes with other cats, or sharing cat toys. Sometimes cats bite each other, or any other way you can think of for cats to mingle saliva. The medical treatment is expensive and the vaccine can prevent all this heartache. Ask your parents to talk to your vet

Cyclone years ago to feline AIDS. he was a stray who adopted me off the street, war-torn, one eye. But his last few weeks with me were loving, warm, safe. He had all the food he could eat, soft carpet under his feet, & someone who loved him to curl up with in bed & sleep w/ at night.
Poor Sparta... and his poor furparents. I have four "mean kitties" of my own and I'd be devastated if anything happened to them. My best wishes go out to Sparta and family, from all of us here on our little farm.

I totally love both Sparta and Loki Im so glad hes survived through it all this time! I get so happy to see him in every video Mr Safety puts up. Sometimes it's bad that animals are strong fighters, because they don't show any signs of illness, which affects them in the long run, because. By the time you get him/her to the vet, the signs are too far into the illness to be cured. ):

(Sniff...sniff...) This video made me cry! I'm still doing it right now! But here's a question that I hope gets answered soon. Did they ever give Sparta any shots before or after he was diagnosed with leukemia? And does Loki have leukemia too? There is no cure so be sure to tell all cat lovers to vacinate their pets to keep them from giving it. With current vetrinary technology cats can live a full pain free life and this was caught early so Sparta is doing much better and is stable

He keeps posting on the mean kitty videos that either rip sparta 2006-2010 or some gross comment about how he is happy sparta is dying and goes on to describe very horrible circumstances that I can't repeat. He impersonates girls by stealing their videos and then opening a channel & when utube he opens new ones usually ending in sioux.He comments all over utube.

@power5952 well be sure to talk to your vet, but this is what I know. Feline Leukemia is saliva based. That is, it is transfered to other cats via the saliva. This can be done by sharing food dishes with other cats, or sharing cat toys. Sometimes cats bite each other, or any other way you can think of for cats to mingle saliva. The medical treatment is expensive and the vaccine can prevent all this heartache. Ask your parents to talk to your vet

Omg, this made me cry, my cat ive had for a long time and he was my only friend, the only thing that would make me happy, his name was Mea mea... He was my best friend i looked for him for months he was a mainecoon and he was a get away cat, When i first got him he was a little baby with no mother to feed him and i had to feed him for quite some time i miss him and if anybody who reads this has any information on this cat please reply bk to me and im really depressed i lost him months ago...

I guess there is then hope for my 6 week old kitten! She was tested + for lucimia, I was told though as a kitten they can test + because of there mother haveing lucimia, but as a kitten they still have a chance to fight it off. Has anyone els heard of that??

@snappykills29 yes it can be treated but here is the thing. Your cat can no longer interact with other cats. No shared food dish. Feline Leukemia is passed through the saliva. So if you have other cats have them tested and get the vaccine if you can. Just make sure to keep up on the vet visits. Your vet knows more than I do.

HappyCabbie, i am a cabbie too here in Virginia Beach, VA, & i adore Sparta & Loki & am praying Sparta will live a long & HAPPY life with Cory & Steph. i lost my Harley G. Cyclone years ago to feline AIDS. he was a stray who adopted me off the street, war-torn, one eye. But his last few weeks with me were loving, warm, safe. He had all the food he could eat, soft carpet under his feet, & someone who loved him to curl up with in bed & sleep w/ at night.

Not for a while. With current medical technology cats with feline lekemia can live a full pain free life. The best way to prevent this is to test your can and have it vaccinated. Loki for example was vaccinated. However Sparta cannot be around other cats due to the posibilty of spreading the disease. Of course he can play with loki because Loki was vaccinated.
