  • Actually, I never did get any damage to my champion bass boat, but I can imagine some cheap boats would get holes if you pulled it up too fast. If you do it slow it won't hurt any boat.

  • let it hit the ramp with a fiberglass boat and see whats happends u will end up paying $2000.00 for the hole

  • How do you trailer it by yourself?

  • @priecko6 - I drive it on my trailer with boat motor.

  • dang! scratch the boat on the boat ramp!

  • @keelsfamily Actually it wore a hole in the boat so now I get out and stop the boat before it hits the ramp if its concrete. Same principle though, works great.

  • o thats a good idea

  • That good for a lonesome ramp but try doing that on a 4 lane boat ramp with 20 boats lined up and you will end up in a punch up, not to mention insurance damage to yours and other boats.

  • Sorry to hear you damaged your boat at ramp. Hope insurance paid for it. Maybe a little less beer would help? I do use ramps w 4 lane & I have a way to do it alone with ease using my rope technique.

  • @bigfishead No have not damaged mine although I do see the clarity of how you did this, but it would kill a bigger boat like mine that is nose heavy, as I have to let it out slowly or the roller catched the front keel, just a slight problem that the Allycraft Challegers have.

  • @sclinds

You could always try putting that 60hp Yamaha back on the aluminium fishing boat it came off of and get a real motor for your big shot boat. Then it wouldn't be so nose heavy. Just saying....

  • @1LittleSpoon Noober

  • Hmmm, interesting. Seems like a lot of times I go fishing it is either windy or wavy, so this might not work.

  • If its windy just pull trailer out and grab the rope before the boat reaches shore, then either jump in boat and start motor or beach the boat by hand and leave anchor on shore.

  • good 1 man launch

  • your not to let the boat ALONE!

  • Damn, let me ask you...do you ever have problems going back down the ramp with the boat slipping ever or losing the line?

  • No I haven't ever had any problems except if the rope catches the trailer fender it will break while pulling out. I use small rope diameter but replace it when I see wear.

  • whlie managing a camera

  • thanks man, made my day.... now this is how it's done, that was a Pro Launch.........

some people just Bug the crap out of-ya waiting & watching them fumble thier way getting a boat on the water....

    beautiful 1 man Launch........
