THe wonderful thing about a monster talent is that he makes any group he is with better, enhances anyone's songwriting as part of a team, can succeed on his own, and continues to hone his craft. Plus, is versatile, doesn't allow himself to become stale or static-and that is Perry. Can't wait for the new album. Talent doesn't get old!
It's so funny he says Chicago was kind of their kickoff point. I lived in Chicago in 1978. I loved these guys as soon as I heard "Evolution". I would listen to them on WLS--AM radio. Too bad I couldn't go to the show. I was turning 12 years old that summer. I didn't go to my first concert til '85 after high school. "Still Loving You Steve". After All These Years !!!

please don't compare AP to SP. SP made journey a house hold name and SP inspired many singers to sing like him such as AP. AP did say that 25 years ago when he had one of Journey's album, he wished one day he'll get a chance to sing one song with Journey and 25 years later he's living that dream of singing for Journey. AP says that theres only going to be one SP and he's just filling in for SP.
