i have this fantasy of walking out onto stage at a green day concert, shooting billie joe armstrong in the face, and then just laying down the most abrasive, dirty, squawling, druggy guitar noise solo ever (pretty much exactly like this) and leaving a bunch of parent-approved little shits mobbing for the doors with their ears bleeding.
Really great performance, just a pity he sung "Ever since I heard her voice I thought I had no choice but then I kissed her." twice and forgot the "Everything just passes by, thought it always would but then I kissed her." line here.

@rmjoci Yeah, and your fucking grammar sucks dick. So what if it's not a complex song, the point is it has more feeling than anything you could ever create. You sir are just close minded fool and feel the need to judge a band because they have minimalistic tenancies that you can't dig. Between you and me, I think a guitar solo composed of nothing but feedback and a snarling wah to be more expressive than a scale running wankfest.
@alexsweeley It just has the feeling " oh fuck i'm fuckin' drawn, i can do nothing with myself gimme much more weed". My fucking grammar that suck dick has the feeling " yeah i can do that".
Last time i saw them live was 98, they supported Primal Scream at the Barrowlands, and started with an extended version of this monster of a track! What a gig.......
lol i like the analogy.....they do groove tremendously, i think hes got a delay thing happening aswell. But yeah its an incredrible sound. And fair play to Jools for having them on.
lol 0:59 whats up with the camera man all up in his grill? other than that... awesome. i remember when my friend was 14, she burned me hate rock n' roll and wrote on the blank cd "this will change your life." and it did! she knew what she was talking about... even at 14.
Right you are it like any shit band can sell records if hype it up enough and put them everywhere then they will get big. Also if you put them on mtv.
Abso-fucking-lutely MINDBLOWING awesomist awsomness fucking megabastard amazingmost rockingest uber rock 'n roll ever!
Snakedriver proudly remains a snarling, brutal, grubby, sweat-ridden slavering mangled, mongeral-on-heat of a song that, if anything, sounds even BETTER live than it does in the studio - and that's saying something.
Ahh this is great... Not one of the bands whose live performances you'd rather listen to than the studio versions, but still a good live band. It's just hard to get all those studio effects that give the music the unique sound on the stage... Still they did a great job here, love this band.
That is amazing, Wills guitar is screaming in pain! Fantastic! I like it when Jim keeps singing before noticing his mike is turned off, then just tosses it away, classic stuff!
This song has THE attitude, dude! Just like Blues from a gun... you may walk down the street with this song playing in your ears and beat any poser, emo arse!

the guitars sound great. jim's voice a little too bedroom. matches the dry drums i guess.

The Jesus and Mary Chain are widely known as East Kilbrides favourite guitar abusers, but William is really pushing the boat out here!

There was a lot of shit in the 90s though: POD, Korn, Creed, rap-rock in general, all the Nirvana ripoffs, the random alternative crap
LAballin24 2 years ago
Most of the shit was at the tail-end of the 90's. There was a lot of solid music made between 1991 and 1998
