  • My new fav. song!

  • I was lucky enough to meet Grace back in '65 when she was with J.A. In a small Midwestern town (Kankakee, IL) and the Airplane played in the high school gymnasium there. After the concert was over I walked onr to the small stage and got to rap with Paul Kantner, Grace, Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Cassidy. It was something that happened quite by accident. I was a freshman in high school and some friends asked me if i wanted to go with them to see this new psychedelic band from San Francisco :).

  • @jcp0129eek Grace would have been 26 years old then... Top chick of the time.

  • mrtab001 you have a wise head on your shoulders....

  • very great lyrics!everything fits!

  • and, oh, what a voice!!!

  • Great singer with a great band & a dam fine looking woman too, who also had something to say too...

  • that photo of Grace & Janis is adorable. they rocks & rocked!!!!

  • SHE WAS OPINIIONATED,ECCENTRIC,BRAZEN,WOMAN WITH THE BALLS OF A HORSE.....AND WE LOVED HER!!!!!!!!!!

  • mukemmel ya. cok guzel bir hatun. sarkı zaten 10 numara. best song !

  • It does not seem real I am 63 and that makes her 72. Some people should be graced with etenal youth, it seems such a shame to see her fade

  • @TheOldpoop

72 and pretty special and experienced....I'm sure.

Every age and epoch has its shine... it's importance. Cheers to Grace!

  • @MrTab001 that's funny

  • Futuristic hippie @ 0:13 ...

    I'm in love...

  • How dare you to put kesha and grace's names together??

  • @DeWodan well that´s the same thing the prude, conservative republican people back then said...and simply not true! and even in the case it would be true...so what! i don´t remember any genocid led by satanic people but a lot led by so called christians! i think you have no fucking idea what you´re talking about and less idea what she is talking/singing about...

  • Listen - it sings of REALISING or recognizing the 'devil' of deceptive mind and putting it behind her!

St Paul said the same thing.

The music feels over produced though - not very alive or loose or empassioned.

    My 2c

  • I vote she comes out of retirement for Halloween as the Red Queen and does White Rabbit.

  • @DeWodan Actually I did.. I still love the music on it though XD

  • love it!!!!!

  • In the moment: What better comment, for all the the news medis, is there?

Something inside this woman flowed with the truth. And honesty, And real insight. Even if she didn't understand. And perhaps she did.

Right now does anybody else have anything more profound to say?

  • Beauty on the outside last just a fleeting moment. Grace's lasting beauty is her voice, the music and the legacy. We as a culture are so hung up on the superficial..its a shallowness with infinite darkness.

  • Ehh, you know i have always said that all those great artists and musicians of that era had such beautiful souls but...just to indulge the 13 year old boy in me...how awesome would it have been to have a video of Grace Slick and Janis Joplin making out? Just throwing that out their, ya know...O.o

  • Simply brilliant! Check out my Thatch channel.

  • Too bad she didn't age well, a godess when she was

  • @luktheskywalker knowone looks good in their sixtys-seventys bruh

  • Wow your talented. Would appreciate your advice – come see my vids.

  • Simply brilliant! Check out my Thatch channel.

  • Wow!!!!!!!!!!! such angel I have never seen!!!!but if heaven said they where missing one I swear it was Her!!!!!!!!!!!!!like MrTab001 IWAS BORN IN THE WRON GENERATION FOR GOD SAKE.

  • She is my idol in rock music... of all time.Nobody had a voice like Grace and i am so grateful to have seen her in concert with The Jefferson AIrplane in 1969ll I just loved her.. I simply adore her. I am a singer and i have been told by fans that i sounded like Grace by which is was both honored and humbled to be compared to the greatest Rock Singer ever. My Idol Grace SLick. Long live Grace and the Jefferson Airplane and long live the Sixties. Flower CHild Rosemary

  • My Mom was brilliant, and then she did the same thing, as Grace, in her later years (70's) "bash old age". Yet, I had a geoscience professor that claimed that if we would just change our crappy lifestyle eating habits etc. we could live to be 120! So there you go - a little old fashioned "transcendentalism"!

  • Ahhh, glad to hear Grace Slick gave you a hug! Just wish she would get a more positive philosophy goin on in her older age! jeez... Come on Ms. Grace, where is that spirit! I just don't get it...

  • Gracec Skick is about 70 but the world has not found a voice so wonderful yet!!!!!!

  • Grace, do you realize how unique you have been and still are?

  • Grace Slick is the best multi-gifted artist of my generation.

  • Ela era linda de mais, O_O caralhooo!!!

Ela é muito mais linda que qualquer menina artificial de hoje.

    I love u Grace!

  • god DAMN i was born into the wrong generation. she was so fuckin hot back then! i'm 22 and what do i get? Ke$ha? wtf is this shit. im pissed.

  • @MrTab001 Actually Ke$ha looks quite good when she is not wearing trash, but normal cloths and makeup:

search Google for "kesha no makeup photo shoot"

Otherwise I agree with you, Grace was so much better.

  • @MrTab001 HAHAHAHAHAHAHA !! Best comment I red today !!!

  • @MrTab001 iknowrite!

  • @MrTab001

I feel you bro! I'm 21... Fortunately we still have grass and acid lol.

  • @MrTab001 At least we get the honor of carrying it on brother. (I'm 23 btw)

  • @MrTab001 exactly man!!

  • @MrTab001 Ke$ha's pretty too I guess, but, the music, not so much.

  • @MrTab001 Blame your co-generations. Those who actually buy Kesha music. :D

  • @MrTab001 You're right... i'm only 14 but i hate my generation! I listen to all music from "classic music" to "metal", but i think that pop and house aren't music because they are done only for get money..

I'm sorry for my english but i'm italian, i hope that you'll understand :)

  • @MyLifeIsForMusik We get the message - the True Message. Best Wishes.

  • @MrTab001 Crying about it sure does a lot

  • @DancesWithNarwhals know what's worse than crying about stuff? crying about people crying about stuff ;)

  • @MrTab001 im 15 and what do I get for "Hot" Male Muscians/ Justin Bieber ! I want Jim Morrison he had so much talent and was sexy as hell!

  • @kozmicblues14 so true!

  • @kozmicblues14 Jim was not only a great muscian but a great poet.....and what they call "music" today is really like listening to a computter virous it sucks

  • @MrTab001 Whata about Winehouse, Beth Ditto, Adele, Tori Amos, Sade, and many others? IMO there are a lot of artists even today to admire. Ignore the Hilton-GaGa shit.

  • @HeMer0 yeah, I liked joan osborne alot...especially on that tour with the dead....liked courtney love's attitude too

  • @MrTab001 I saw her in 1967 in Chicago & she looked just like the photo at 59 sec. here. What a FOX ! What a privilege to grow up & witness the whole evolution of Rock from the fifties on !

  • @MrTab001 The 60ies were good and the 80ies. Perhaps also the early 90ies.

Today people are clicking nervously on their smart phones. There's no creativity.

I missed the 60ies. In the 80ies I head a great life like in Miami Vice. ;-)

  • @MrTab001 I I really do feel for ya man...I'm 64 and I was there, at 22 my girlfriend was 31 , looked like Gracie only better and was a professional dancer in NYC, my lord .the stuff I was into.....I was just watching this, thinking of old girlfriends and how lucky and blessed I've been to have gone through it...

  • @MrTab001 I had just turned 17 when Jefferson Airplane opened the first morning gig at Wood Stock. Loved 'em ever since...

  • @MrTab001 You and me both brother.

  • i love this song

  • Grace Slick from 1965-1969 was like some sort of angelic figure come down to earth. A time machine would be most useful right about now.

  • *Builds time machine, heads back the the 60's, forms successful rock band, hooks up with Grace Slick...that is my plan

  • Never heard this, but this is brilliant. Love the work she did with Jefferson. Rock on Grace :)

  • Gracie will always be a monument of freedom for us dinosaurs from the 1960s...

  • WOW. This gave me the shivers.? Over and over again. And it just won't go away.HAahaH.ahááh ƒreé ee $ card .... ggggamestop adn diablo 3 beta copy ,,... MoRE INFOooo diablo3land com

  • Grace you are and will always be my Idol... i am a rock singer and when i saw you perform in 69 i knew then thats what i wanted to do with my life... You are the most amazing singer ever in rock history... Your range your tone your vibrato your style an your prescence on stage are uncomparable... People have told me that i sound like you when i sing... and i am so honored... I adore you and will always love you your voice still rings in my heart from the time i saw you live in 69, One and only

  • @MermaidPrincess9

Keep going and going, there is no end to the journey until you stop taking steps. I first heard Somebody to Love on an AM 6 transistor radio in 1966- i was 16. Her voice had cast it's spell then and still rings in my soul. This song is a peak experience. Keep on singing and growing. Don't just keep the faith, BE THE FAITH!!!

  • Grâce is very very very beautiful! I love you grâce!

  • @TheRussianLumberjack And still, a hot MILF in the 80's

  • Somehow I missed her ..per-say..sexual attraction..not that Grace is not sexy..I was in love with her .."Unique" vocal powers..can't copy her or Janis..you can practice for ages..it won't happen..God gave Grace and Janis a Gift....no one has it these days..too Fabricated..music is..!

  • que hermosa era y continua siendo grace slick.

  • Jsi dobrá Grace ! Chtěl bych s tebou jako s mojí holkou žít v šedesátých letech.

  • Just wish that i could have dropped some LSD with her back in the Day! Oops.

  • Don't we'd like to talk about the unbelievable skills of the guitar players and arrange capability? The minimum due to a voice like that.

  • Pardon my english I'm French

Therefore I'm a connoisseur in woman to (french arrogance!)

She is Ze Woman (french admiration !)

  • very nice

  • Does someone know the chords to this song?

  • @oliviabstract

Bminor, Amajor, Gmajor, F# major for the 1st section. I'm just starting to pick this tune apart so it might be a few more days to fill in the blanks. I've been a fan of hers since the mid sixties and i just found this tune a few weeks ago. I can send some chord option to give some elbow room if you're jamming with this tune. if this helps let me know. wjerry27@yahoo.com

  • @dodo10000000 Truly amazing!! ur a lucky guy/gal ;-)

  • GRACE SLICK ERA HERMOSISIMA, ELLA Y CHARLY GARCIA LO MAS GRANDES DE LA CULTURA DEL ROCK SAY NO MORE

  • Great set of photos with this song.

There are some women I never tire of seeing. Grace Slick is one, also Janis Joplin. Also from that time, Natalie Wood.

Grace was the rock singer I most wanted to spend a night with. Beautiful and smart and forceful and creative. You don't meet people like her.

Her song, White Rabbit, was revolutionary , and it still sounds great. To this day, there aren't many writers who would start a song with, "One pill makes you larger..."

  • A bit older than I and just wish I had been Marty Balin for awhile as I was also and

literally kind of in love with that girl being a signer myself of course , it all goes hand

    in hand...

  • she was gorgoues back then holy shit

  • @Sauron767 holy is the active force of jehovah god do u beleive then stop it

  • @TheWezid

You sound like a defellowshiped witness, you should stop it!

  • @SuperDarkDefender dis get it rite son if you have manners thats all respect if u dont beleive then why say it and if u do beleive why would u you guys comment on things that r not important to me

  • @TheWezid LOL you make me laugh son. Give me your autograph....

  • she WAS HOT!!

  • @mmtna SO HOT

  • I do believe whiskeyjack57!

  • There's always been a dichotomy between how she appears and how she actually is. The fantasy of a soft-spoken lovely girl stops when she begins speaking. Even in my youth, she always appealed to me as a VERY hard-hearted individual with not a lot of concern for anyone else. 'Doesn't matter at all now that we're old.

  • @whiskeyjack57 most good performers have a lot of ego, goes hand in hand, I guess, how else do you get up in front of thousands of people w/o some sense of narcissism?

  • This was a young woman who really had something to say. And she said it! I can't explain the admiration I have for her, but it's deep and wide.

  • @Zepster77 SHINING DIAMOND!!!!!!

  • i born in the wrong year i want to go to the 60s

  • my fantasy girlfriend (from the 1960s version)!!!!!!lol. but i think it is fair to say she is a little self-centered.......guess we all are a little.

  • @MrTitanman29

All rock stars are self-centred when you think about it lol.

  • What a woman.

  • Why do we have to get old?

  • I've been looking for this song for so long. thanks for posting this, caneryolal

  • love this song

  • I envy marty balin and the other guys by her side at the 60s that I don´t want to remember. lucky them.

  • made a hip hop beat out of this :D

  • A face that launched 1000 ships, or 50 million male fantasies.

  • @bogeybast i agree mann

  • as for the sixties, I can say i have never seen so many people happy than in those times .

  • @HendrikaWhitmore22 i dont understand what you mean? is there any problem about video?

  • I love this woman so much.

  • Ah...Grace. One of the most beautiful women ever. In every aspect.

  • Grace was truly the queen, long live the queen

  • If that was the Woodstock show, I saw it after coming back from the festival. Still remember her calling him Jim and wasn't that the show where she declared, "Wire me up and ball me wired"? He didn't stand a chance.

  • what a Slick lady!

  • The first self-defined woman in rocknroll, the first one who wasn't just the chick singer with the band singing about I'm happy because I have a man or I'm sad because I don't. Copping ideas from Prokofiev and lyrics from Joyce, with humor, brains, beauty and a voice like a laser. She changed the game and she sure changed me. When she told me to feed my head when I was 15, who was I to say no?

  • Comment removed

  • @stevekallaugher

Hey, I totally agree with you, but did you ever see the interview she did with Dick Cavett? The one where he was trying to make fun of her, and she just kept on talking about his shoes? It is hilarious

  • The Barbie Doll's sole source of inspiration was Grace Slick!

  • I truly wish I could have lived in the 60s .. just to witness that .. she was a beautiful lady from the inside out ... and she was so fun and her inner child never died ... that's what makes a true artist imo :)

I truly wish I would have been able to see her live or witness that beauty of art live :(

Such beautiful music is immortal tbh.

Thank you so much for uploading this :)

  • One word...........Diva.

  • Nah dude she's mine.... Lmao

  • Am I the only person who wants to marry her?

  • @9Iamthewalrus 853 people wants to merry her...

  • Grace Slick was beautiful and Her eyes shows Her intelligence, and Her voice and talent were great.

  • @ItsFijiWiji i know. we're living in the most boring time period EVER. i hate knowing that

  • @blakekcyn123 if you find this time boring then make it more exciting.

  • @extropian iam only 1 guy. i cant really change much

  • @ItsFijiWiji You can, with the right ingredients.

  • She had the talent ... and she had that simple natural beauty (That doesn't involve intense make up that would make you look like a clown like now) and those powerful eyes ... and those beautiful powerful lyrics ... and the way she sang those lyrics was just amazing ...

I wish I was alive in the 60s to be able to witness such beauty live ... Just look at how amazing she was as a person and as an artist ... she was 3 steps ahead for her era..

Thanks so much for uploading this beautiful song :)

  • All this 60's talk, but isn't this on one of her 80's albums?

  • I watched this and read the comments. You kids have absolutely no idea...

Back then she was nicknamed The Acid Queen. Grace was the biggest star in rock during the psychedelic era of 1967-68, bigger than Cher or Janis Joplin.

I don't think anyone born after 1970 realizes what that era means. You hear the music and say you wish you had been there but you don't know. It's so different

today, a whole different world, it can't be recreated or imagined. We were naive and everything was beautiful...

  • @ItsFijiWiji experience the sixties ? Easy - simply get a dose of pubic lice, drop a couple of microdots, cover yourself in mud and start hitching. Hey Presto - The Sixties !

  • The late 50's and 60's were such a special time. I remember all the things were changing and we all contributed to the changes. I feel sorry for the younger generations they missed an opportunity to try new things are parents could never envisioned. Today corporations run and stifle all artistic works. We were free and we were a generation that had love as our motto.

  • The drek tha tis churned out today makes one pine for all the great artists of the 60s, 70s. I always like Grace.

  • The 60's were great... I was there & I remember..... Grace is a relic of the 60's & so are many many others......
