It's great to tell us what NOT to do, how about some suggestions on what TO do? Nunatak above gave great suggestions....physical movement helps our bodies and brains release "good" chemicals to raise our mood levels. Our food/drink choices also create good and bad energy.....and when you have low energy it is hard to "pull yourself up". Self pity can also lead to clinical depression. Just talking to someone who can relate often helps me get back on track.....blessings, Dolly
Without prejudice or being churlish. How much of life has Karl Moore experienced.Self pity woe is me does not exist in my vocabulary but one time it did.Having no experience about survival the day my survival skills were tested in mortal combat.Self pity left once and for all because there was nothing else left to feel sorry about because I lived
Very good info and really useful info (but some people, not trust in it)!. I'll recommend watch people "The Secret" movie. It's little bit about this.
I'm not sure scolding is the right approach. It usually displaces self-pity with a stronger desire to eat a bag of potato chips and a tub of Hagen-Daz. Great for companies that sell those products.
When I'm feeling low — and from time to time we all do — I like to go out for a run, or a climb. A bike ride, a swim, or a hike. Something physical that we can succeed at and bootstrap ourselves out of the doldrums. Think positively and all the things you can do will be yours.
I come from the time where you could not indulgence in the luxury of self pity.Life was hard and only the hardy ones survived. You got up and did what needed to be done no motivator other than the need to survive another day.I don't need motivation I motivate myself.
I don't know about the rest of you guys out there but this absolutely mind blowing to me.
3 videos, less that 1 hour of content, took me 8 and a quarter hours implement and I haven't a clue what is supposed to happen with the 4 posts, nor where to find them again but hey, if it makes a buck, who cares.
Day 9 coming up for my "No such luck with WordPress Direct" story and I think I am going to go right over to M.S. and post a blog on just that subject.
So true - occasionally when I find myself going down that path I work quickly to change direction !!! It does no good to dwell in self-pity! Life is always going to appear unfair - just have to deal with that and move on! Focus on the good positive things !
Is that from the Stephen Fry interview?

If you want to have a great life, don't pity yourself, pity everyone who's stuck in their cubicle not doing the 30DC :)...
