I love the 96 rs I have one and its pretty much stock except for catback exhaust and cold air intake. The 3800 series II motor is a tank of a motor so all these people saying swap out to a LT1 or LS1 forget it! Its a different vantage point and u get better mileage and that's what I love and its still a badass car. Kudos mate!!

dont put a nitro kit on your car big mistake u would end up bloeing up ur engine when its got that stock v6 i cant add hp to mine it has 142000 miles on it

I got a 96 RS, dark blue with black stripes, its pretty damn loud too, but putting in an lt1 later on. Just smoked a Tundra today, hahaha shit was funny. Nice ride.

i have a chevy bow tie tattood on my back i love camaros by far my favorite car you have to remember though nitris is like a hot girl with std's you wanna hit it but your scared. throw a little turbo on that man run about 6psi and youll walk z28's all day :0 kudos to your car though looks clean

Well, I could be like everyone else, and do just that... for about the same cost... getting license and registration changed over... altering my insurrance... etc. Or I could not go through all of that hassle, and have a pretty powerful v6 that will give corvettes a run for their money, and eat mustangs all day long!

@coldblade666 You always think your car is fast until you drive/ride in a faster car. If you really think your bolt on V6 will hang with corvettes I don't know what to tell you and not sound mean. Not trying to be a hater, but don't waste another penny on your RS. Save your money and get the real thing...

ive got a 96 like that i have a jasper asftermarket v6 in mine though got cherry bomb 4 inch pipes and pacesetter headers its about 300 horse smokes the new tangs

Nice ride! Too bad you didn't list a 6 speed manual swap in there. That would really make that V6 work better. IMHO of course
