@princemarth150 Sorry, I haven't try to check the physical appearance of the Drive. Try to google the specification of this model. :) Why you need to fit another device since the capacity of the drive is well enough. why not buy a data storage for 1TB.

@intel828C i had bought a 1tb 12.5mm laptop hard drive about a year ago to put in a laptop, but I never got around to buying the laptop, this acer now is the one I'm looking at getting. 640 is too small for me. I plan on removing the 640gb hard drive and put that an old hp which I have around the house, since the drive in that, died a time back. I'm gonna then give that laptop to my gf to use since she has no pc. I was then gonna put the 1tb in the acer but I wanted to know if the drive could ..

@princemarth150 ...fit first. That's why I had asked you since you had the laptop already. I had searched on the net but I didn't find any info on if that 1tb could fit or not. I'll go now and see if I can find a manual for the laptop

@princemarth150 Well, that is a good idea of giving ur pc and changing the drive as well but I am afraid that the 1TB will fit to the Acer since the housing box of your 1TB is compact. I also have 1TB data storage but I dont have time to open it and try to put on in my laptop. I suggest to ask the salesperson and let them know that your are planning to buy a new one and change the drive to 1TB. I know they can give you an exact answer regarding with that matter. Don't forget to bring your 1TB.

@loonneye Sorry, but I don't have an idea about HP dv6 or 7. honestly, I have been using acer since 2006 and until now the older laptop is still working. The graphic is very fast. With regards to my new one, so far its doing good. One thing I like most of this Acer, it has an ecryption software where you can lock all your files.
