So you see Britain didnt defend us WE defended Britain. Thats the difference. You see the perks as being "given" to Scotland instead of earned. As for Scottish free education, despite a brief period when it stopped, we have always had a system of free education since Queen Margaret.

As for "money from the engine room" I know for a fact that the Londin Docklands were re-built from Scottish Oil revenues at a time when Scotland was suffering economically and socially. Outside of London Scotland is the biggest contributor to the UK purse! Do your sums!

The SNPs ideologies like Connery lack political substance and are similar in several because they both once were! Both Connerys acting ability(and looks) and, the idea of Scottish Independence, against the English. Back when the English were killing two warring clans before uniting with the biggest clan to kill the other. But this was some three or four hundred years ago.

Using clan versus clan as you cite may have happened a few centuries ago but todays principal is the same, its called "Divide and Rule". Todays examples can be found in North versus South, East versus West, Glasgow versus Edinburgh and Protestant Versus Catholic and more recently with worryingly repetivness is Christain Versus Muslim.
